1. Getting Started Introduction
In this era, everybody is interested in reducing energy bills and there by
saving energy while simultaneously contributing towards an eco-
friendly future. Many researchers are now analyzing how energy can be
saved at home by using simple techniques. Also if people can monitor
their home energy consumption and price, they will change their habits
to save money. Proceeding the with the same thought process, Lead Solar has introduced LeadSolar Link Superior - Energy Management Controller which helps you to monitor, manage and control over your energy usage as well as your bills. It utilizes the smart grid and smart metering technology from your power company and Echelon. It keeps the record of your energy usage in form of charts that will help you figure out • How much energy you're using • When exactly you're using it (what times of the day, what days of
the week and which months of the year) • How best to reduce your consumption • How much progress you're making at doing so Based on your energy usage, you can manage your appliance or the devices to be turned ON or OFF. It’s wireless connectivity allows you to keep track on your energy usage via computers or smart phones. It keeps track on your expenses behind the energy usage and plots the chart. Figure 1-1. shows the LeadSolar Link Superior - Energy Management Controller. Figure 1-1. LeadSolar Link Superior - Energy Management Controller
