Wicked saga rolls onTHE Tasmanian Government is

backing the Queensland Govt’s move to deregister Wicked Campers vans displaying offensive slogans (TD Fri).

Rene Hidding, Minister for Infrastructure said the Tas Govt would consider taking similar action if the company attempted to register the vans in the state.

“I have been investigating possible regulatory or legislative options to stop these vile, sexist and misogynistic vans from operating in Tasmania,” Hidding said in a statement, adding he has confirmed the owners of these vehicles are likely in breach of the Anti-Discrimination Act.

MH370 search to endIF MALAYSIAN Airlines’ flight

MH370 is not found within the 120,000km² search area, the three-country hunt for the plane will be called off, Malaysian, Chinese and Australian officials said in a statement last week.

Close to $180 million has been thrown into the salvage operation since the Boeing 777 with 239 people on board went missing in Mar 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing (TD 25 Mar 14).

To date 110,000km2 have been searched.

Australia’s Transport Minister Darren Chester said the three countries still “remained hopeful” the plane would be found before the search area was exhausted and that it was a “difficult decision” to suspend the search,

News.com.au reported.MEANWHILE, news has

emerged over the weekend that MH370’s pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah used a home-built flight simulator to steer himself in a similar route that the missing plane is believed to have taken just weeks before the disappearance.

The findings published by New York magazine were allegedly sourced from a confidential document from Malaysian police investigating the incident.

“We found a flight path, that lead to the southern Indian Ocean, among the numerous other flight paths charted on the flight simulator, that could be of interest,” the document said.

Guardians of the Galaxy ride

DISNEYLAND Resort has confirmed The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride at Disney California Adventure Park will be reimagined as The Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!

The move, flagged by Travel Daily recently (TD 05 May), was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend by president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige.

Expected to launch in about 12

Guests will board a gantry lift launching them into a daring adventure to join Rocket Racoon in an attempt to free his fellow Guardians.

The attraction will drop guests directly into the story alongside characters from the comic books and the blockbuster film,” Disney Resort said in a media release.

Disney added the new attraction will be an “anchor” for a broader range of super heroes that will be introduced at California Adventure in the future.

A final “drop day” for the Tower of Terror will be celebrated at the park in early Jan.

An artist’s impression of the new Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride is pictured.
