  • Would you like to brush up your Maths skills?

Are you interested in getting a nationally recognised qualification?

The Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates in Functional Skills Maths can help you improve your skills from basic arithmetic to managing a budget and understanding your wage slip. Candidates take a short diagnostic test at the start and trainers use the results of the test to agree the most appropriate level of course to follow. Level 1 is a nationally recognised certificate equivalent to half a GCSE at Grades D-G. Level 2 is a nationally recognised certificate equivalent to half a GCSE at Grade B To achieve a certificate, you must pass an assessment which takes 1 hour to complete. The assessment is based on everyday scenarios where you apply your Maths knowledge and skills. You are permitted to use calculators and other equipment such as rulers. If you do not pass the assessment first time, you are allowed to resit within a certain time period. How long will it take? The course usually takes 40-45 hours to complete.
