A Role Based Certification is a combination of multiple learning components and online assessments and is

considered complete upon successful completion of its mandatory learning components as defined in this Learners’

Guide .

TechCEED will issue e-certificates to successful participants on a monthly basis.

Q 1: What is Role Based Certification?

Role Based Certifications(RBC) are certification programs offered to HCL employees to equip them with the

required technical know-how to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.

Q 2: Can I register for Role Based Certification at any time?

You can register any time.

Q 3: What will be the mode of learning?

The Certifications launched as of now are primarily online courses followed by comprehensive end course

assessments to evaluate the knowledge gained. Role Based Certifications with Instructor Led offerings or

SME evaluation will be available to respective Delivery Units as applicable.

Q4: Who can register for the Role Based Certifications

All HCL Technologies core software employees who meet the pre-requisites / experience criteria for the role,

can register for these certifications.

Q5: How do I choose a relevant certification?

You may register for an RBC if you are currently in the role or if you aspire to perform the role in future and

if you satisfy the relevant years of experience for the respective certification.

Q 6: What are the criteria for successful completion of a Role Based Certification?

For an employee to successfully complete a Role Based Certification he/she should:

a. Complete all the Mandatory learning components available in the course.

b. In e-Learning courses, participant must access all the pages and clear module end assessments.

c. Successfully clear all assessments.

Q 7: How many chances do I get to clear the assessments in a Role Based Certification?

You will get 3 chances to clear a certification exam.

Q 8: What will happen if I am unable to clear the assessments in the available number of attempts?

Participants can reappear for the same after 1 month by raising SSD to TechCEED with request type as

“Role Based certifications”.

Q 9: Will I get a certificate on completion of a Role Based Certification?

You will get an e-certificate upon successful completion from TechCEED. Refer Question No. 6 for

completion criteria.

Q 10: Can I register for multiple Role Based Certifications at the same time?

You can register for multiple Role Based Certifications if you are playing more than one role, however it is

advisable to register and complete one Role Based Certification at a time.

Q 11: I am unable to locate the registration links in the path shared by you, how can I register? OR Can I

register for Role Based Certification without accepting C2C?

The registration links will be visible / enabled only after you accept C2C, kindly refer the Registration

procedure section of this Learners’ Guide.

Q 12: Whom can I contact for any clarifications that I have with respect to these Role Based

Certifications?

For any clarifications, you can raise an SSD to TechCEED with request type as “Role Based

certifications”
