Report of the Learning Ambassador’s choice in Latvia
Step 1-popularization
Popularization of the project idea and objectives
- in LAEA web page on 14.10.2008.
- in LAEA newsletter on 29.10.2008.
Step 2- reference groupReference group is staff of LAEA and the
board of LAEA represented by:
- local municipalities - Adult Education Centers- Universities- private entities (working on education field)- the Latvian Trade Union of Education and
Science Workers- individuals

Announcement of the Learning Ambassador nomination by the way of:

Step 4- choice of LA• 7 nominations received (CV, motivation letters &
recommendation)• Evaluation procedure of applicants
Criteria to become a LA:- has a success or good results/any improvement after learning- has his/her own story of learning experience- good orator, is able to perform and motivate others- communicable and motivated to share the learning experience- has critical thinking

- Director of municipal social welfare house “Gauja”
- Teacher of “First-aid”
- Chair-person of the Latvian Red Cross branch Riga district
- Teacher at Riga Medicine College
Step 5- training LA
• Meeting in Tallin 05.03.09.-07.03.09.
• Training the Learning Ambassador in Tallin
• Listening to learners voice (opinion of the project idea, experience)
Step 6- dissemination
Started with local newspapers and to be continued with conferences, presentations on seminars.
Still is in progress ... and to be continued!
