LibraryReferencing your research.
When you do research it is very important to include references to show where your information has come from. Here are some reasons why referencing is so important:
● You cannot claim the work or ideas of someone else as your own.● Plagiarism is not just when you directly copy words from someone else's work. Plagiarism is also when someone else's work is
paraphrased or their ideas are used and claimed as your own.● Referencing has a positive effect and adds credibility to your work.
When you reference correctly, you are demonstrating that (a) you have read widely on the topic and (b) that you are supporting your hypotheses with comments from expert authors and/or reliable sources.
When you reference from a book you need to follow a particular format.
Task:In your student portal access OLIVER Library. Search for the following books and click on the titles to find the information to use in referencing.Use the document on GC to write the correct references for these books.
● My Australia by Julie Murphy● Asia by Charles Hope● China by Cameron Macintosh● Angel of Kokoda by Mark Wilson● Children just like me by Catherine Saunders et al.
