    UIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    SCHOOL/PLACE OBSERVED

    SCHOOL PLANT AND FACILITIES

    Their school plant and facilities are wellstructured. Facilities are well equipped and are fully

    functioning to cater all the needs of the people in the whole campus. Facilities as well are clean , safe to

    be used and quiet in a good condition to be used.

    LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

    The ground is wide and the outside is green , no garbage can be seen ,truly conducive for studying andrelaxation . Inside the building the rooms for library ,garden etc. are clean ,colorful , full of books and

    toys and had really shown the description of a good learning environment

    CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT / SCHOOL POLICIES

    They firmly impose the rules and regulations of the school , School policies are strictly followed and

    whoever disobey will be immediately reported for sure to their guidance office . In terms of the

    classroom management their teachers used to handle the class with ease and orderliness . Everything

    during our visit is at good pace.

    INSTUCTIONAL PRACTICES

    In terms of their instructional practices, they view it clear among the students by giving simple

    announcements pasted on their chalkboards , bulletin boards and lastly through mass announcements .In regards to their instructions surely students can follow what to do since their instruction delivery is

    rest assured a systematized one.

    LEARNERS BEHAVIOR

    They are polite and orderly they used to be behaving in a manner that if there are visitors ,they are quite

    nice and courteous so I can say they have a good social etiquettes paired to good scholastic standing

    SCHOOLS BEST PRACTICE

    This school practices the modernized era of teaching .A part of their practice is to engage the learnerseven at lower grade to highly technologized system that would enhance their skills /knowledge and

    experiences .

    FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION

    Their office is clean wide and all of them are keep on themselves being busy . Faculty and administration

    themselves are trying to do their very best to accommodate us , they are so overwhelming to us visitors

    and even effort to roam around their campus for just an hour tour . . They even

    demonstrated/elucidated at their best about their practice buy having a full blown presentation

    prepared for us . It is so overwhelming that they are behaving such making us feel welcome and

    important guess to them

    Other feature of this school is their nicely built marry in the falls , gym and garden . It is quite refreshing

    and beautiful that if you got failed then you9 go there for sure you will be relived for awhile . Inasmuch

    to that it is a meditating area with their big gym that can accommodate all festive and sports activity

    The school , faculty ,staff as well as the environment are very welcoming . The school has variety of sites

    that is conducive for learning particularly graders

    They are just nearby school of UIC elementary. The Facilities are quite advance and fully functioning. All

    were just like newly installed and every single thing can be used at ease without trouble . Facilities they

    are is as well clean safe to use and again is built with standard .

    LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

    Their ground is green likewise to that of UIC Elem. School very conducive for learning and be still a good

    avenue for resting aside from studying and as well as a place for meditation . The library is really huge

    and the school really impose zero kalat , silence especially at the library section that all the student in

    that school should observe such .

    CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT / SCHOOL POLICIES

    The school again is firmly imposing some rules and evenly teachers are ought to pick a verse from thebasket near at the altar to whom they are used to do to read while they are praying that is one of their

    good practice. A good practice is highlighted in this school. The totality of the school is orderly due to

    the silence policy in most and particular section of this school.

    INSTUCTIONAL PRACTICES

    Instruction even within the classroom or within the campus are relied through huge bulletin boards

    posted on the walls and shaded bulletin boards. Classroom chalkboards , announcements are their

    means to spread the memorandum or important news about what the school must do . In terms of the

    teachers instructions it is given to them beforehand if and only if activities are to be conducted .

    LEARNERS BEHAVIOR

    Learners in this school are really observing proper behavior how they treat visitors by greeting or bybehaving in a proper manner. We felt overwhelmed when they were greeting and smiling to us . They

    are polite and have a good and nice approach. They are quite good in behaving into the class .

    SCHOOLS BEST PRACTICE

    Still their best school practice is their early and highly engagement to technology upon teaching and

    towards learners learning. They are truly having one of the standards in the field of teaching. In terms of

    their learning that evenly put them into the pinnacle because of their best teaching practice.

    FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION

    UIC faculty staff and administrators are very accommodating and very overwhelming as well to have

    them within their campus as observer . We see them happy to have us in their school so we are grateful

    to see them as well. Their office is really huge that evenly may comprise 3 rooms everything is

    organized and clean . again they are truly one of the best school in Davao.

    Instructional practices of this institution is only through the huge bulletin board at the front of the

    entrance , all of the notices and the memorandum and special occasion where placed here . in terms of

    classroom individual instruction it is given clear by the teacher through announcements or through

    written ways that the students are ought to read for them to be aware about the things to be happening

    LEARNERS BEHAVIOR

    Students in this school usually are often busy . They kept on going in and out of the classroom . They are

    polite .and friendly since as what I know some of my batch mates have acquaintances there even they

    have stayed there for just an hour. So I can say from that they are quite friendly to their visitors evenly

    we have been there for a lenient time .they courteous according to my observation .

    SCHOOLS BEST PRACTICE

    One of their best practice is the same as elementary and that of the high school to which they have

    centralized their teaching learning practice through magnifying the use of technology as a part of means

    of instruction and curricular practice . . The highlight of such makes them one of the best college . their

    well-built elevators and well lighted and ventilated library as well is maintained.

    Their faculty and administration , despite f their being busy at that time still they welcome and afford to

    tour us even if most of them are badly busy .They are happy to accommodate and welcome us to

    observe their school . In terms of their office , its really clean and again orderly .

    Other feature for his school is their nicely built elevator, small but well structured . Tall building well-

    structured and installed benches on their mini playground and good foundation of their building.

    GENERAL IMPRESSION

    The school is really following the standard from furniture , books , building foundation and facilities

    .Overall the physical structure is of high quality . The faculties and their administrators including the

    students are generally ae friendly and has high standard educational practice .

    Facilities are newly built with high class and quality . every single facility that students are using is

    basically of its good aesthetic and scientific design .

    Really facilities are at the best of its quality because it is highly functioning and at its high performance

    level .

    LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

    The conduciveness of there is very high among low grades , inlaid with colorful classrooms w/ min

    garden at the back of their classroom for valuing purposes and a beautiful canteen section at the back .

    They are having falls and a mini forest that is again refreshing to the eyes and feeling , really the place is

    totally conducive for learning acquisition . Most section of the school is intended for studying and

    relaxation. In this school no wrappers can be found everywhere ,every garbage is inside the prepared

    garbage bin thats why it is clean and green .

    CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT / SCHOOL POLICIES

    Teachers of this school are systematized about their ways of managing the students and pupils . They

    use good mannerism the wy they speak into them is soft , the way they handle the student is truly nice .

    Their students are well disciplined through the prior supervision that teachers are imposing among their

    students. Classroom is organized and well decorated , every student is behaving properly.

    In every part of their classroom there are corner that states what should they properly do during the

    recess , class hours and retreat , it includes the cleaners , there are corners that parents are intended to

    wait. In terms of the instructions in the classrooms , it is clearly given to them before the activities are

    about to start . their medium of instruction is usually in English even in kinder .

    LEARNERS BEHAVIOR

    Learners are actually well behaved polite and happy . they used to greet visitors of them and truly well-

    disciplined and for me has a high social ,ethical and academic standards .

    Schools best practice s fostering their best quality learning tools , learning treatment and systematized

    examination , recess time and good learning environment by making it well equipped clean and colorful.

    Faculty and administration are very nice to us . they are not neglecting our presence in the other handthey are very entertaining to their visitors they have good system among their teacher and staff .

    administration really well oriented them what are appropriate thing to do since you can see among

    them they really know what they are doing about.

    One of the best feature is the technology based education paired with highly technologized tools and

    well-updated learning materials that really fit to the learning needs of the contemporary learners

    .Facilities of this school are at their best

    The school is holistically has a very high standard of learning paraphernalia from materials , teaching

    practice and institutional implementation of schools rules and regulations . They are really one of the

    best elementary Schools in Davao city .

    The learning environment is conducive and ,clean . their library is huge , well-ventilated and lighted .

    MINI forest together with their garden is lively and very refreshing and such has wooden and cement

    benches perfect for studying.

    Teachers are well-oriented to manage their class by imposing some rules that should be strictly abide

    .Despite to that , students still enjoy having activities . They are ought to observe garbage rules

    particularly during art time and they are not allowed to answer in chorus because they are well

    disciplined .

    INSTUCTIONAL PRACTICES

    Their instructional practices particularly in school is through bulletin board, mass announcement and

    scheduling method. They tend to prior inform teachers w/c regards to any special occasion and activities

    being held In terms of individual classroom instruction delivery instructions are given to them clearly

    and beforehand .

    Learners are well-disciplined . they are as well polite as what other students in other school behave .They are not whom I consider outrageous about their actions against their visitors . They do welcome us

    their visitors by letting us observe them during class.

    One of the schools best practice is more on highly scientific activity like observatory , computers room,

    IT rooms and etc.

    Faculty and administration are so kind . They tend to show the best about their school by touring us tovarious area of their school. It satisfied me about how they have accommodate us as visitors . We are

    grateful about how faculty behave. They are again quite good in servicing for us . Their office is

    organized and huge with complete facilities for the admin personnel to use instantaneously .

    The other features that I consider is the best highly scientific and technologized learning gadgets , tools

    and practice and technology such feature rally highlight their being the best which include their debate

    room that is as well highly equipped .

    GENERAL IMPRESSION

    Ateneo high school has truly the advance facilities that put them to ore advance school and advantage

    to most factors as well. Such being advance put students to advantage among the students The

    structure of their practice is really high class standard . They really have shown that this school has a

    meritorious reason where the payments went to .

    Facilities are actually built with high standard and quality . They have such highly equipped tools to cater

    their voluminous learners . Their facilities are accessible but quite old but still safe to use , The circuitry

    are newly installed.

    LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

    To tell honestly due to the tallness f the building it is so hassle because the elevators are quiteinaccessible to all . Some portions of the school is too dark , not well-lighted . their library has a

    complicated sections but again t is clean , ventilated and still a very good avenue for learning . Books are

    too. Many and highly categorized

    The teacher as I have seen are still emphasizing classroom etiquette and rules, students are usually

    sometimes naughty , weird and smarty /high class type . Various type of individuals are what I have

    In terms of the general instruction it is conveyed through mass announcement and through individual

    classroom it is rely by the instructors clearly . The instructions are rest assured to be cleared every time

    they are conducting activity to be realized before engaging to various tasks .

    Honestly to tell frankly I personally found some group of individuals laughing at us while we are walking

    along their endless like stairs, not to conclude that all of them are not good but definitely I feel insultedto it that is why I conclude that some of the student of there are very outrageous of their actions in

    spite of the fact that we are only vsitors of their school

    SCHOOLS BEST PRACTICE

    One of the schools best practice is more on highlyscientific activity like observatory , computers room,

    As what I knew there were only representatives who welcomes us not personally the Faculty and

    administrators maybe they are badly busy . They are trying to accommodate us and I feel grateful but

    honestly I heard personally as in first hand receiver of the news from one of the staff from the library

    saying something that is not good to ears , Saying roar unsa mani mga nag tour oi mga ESB its

    addressed to us and we feel alarmed to that. So again I feel insulted about the judgment , sorry very

    much to mention it but its I think my only way to express what I knew and hear personally

    Other feature is their well-organized food court . It is actually a good section, a huge food court at the

    ground floor of their building . It has many displayed food in different variety. Honestly it is one of the

    best food courts Ive ever seen.

    GENERAL IMPRESSION

    The building structure is really at high standard including the library , facilities and their physical features

    they are also engaged in higher technological what , I really dont like , sorry , is the attitude of some

    student and the staff that displays a disappointing .

    Thy are one of the school built for uniqueness needs the learners . Facilities that all/ most special child is

    there . They can cater the child deficiency of learning through their highly technological facility that is

    used by the teacher for them to link to such child . It is actually a school with best and unique

    equipment for learning

    LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

    This school learning environment is naturally has the ambiance of catering the needs of most special

    child the school , the gym is big and the ground is clean . There are many green plants flowers and trees ,

    that is why it is refreshing and their library has all the books and gadgets they need.

    CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT / SCHOOL POLICIES

    All the teachers in this school has the natural propensity and well trained to have good classroom

    management since their students needs special care , treatment teaching and tools / learning

    materials. So despite of this type of student ,still they can manage well and they are one that I consider

    having the best managing technique teachers .

    MISSION

    Davao City Special National High School aims to develop through basic education and special education;

    to provide child friendly teaching-learning environment; to recommend competent, aommitted and

    trained teachers; to provide adequate, advanced and functional resources, and to collaborate,

    coordinate and seek support from stakeholders.

    The State shall promote the right of every individual to relevant quality education regardless of sex, age,breed, socio-economic status, physical and mental condition, social or ethnic origin, political and other

    Every student with special needs has a right to an educational program that is suitable to his needs.

    Special Education shares with regular education basic responsibilities of the educational system to fulfill

    the right of the students to develop to his full potential.

    Every student with special needs shall be equally accepted by our society as assets of a growing and

    progressing nation.

    INSTUCTIONAL PRACTICES

    Instructions are vividly instructed among the child with special conditions/needs . They are instructed in

    a very special way , I cant understand but a little they all clearly interpreted . Instruction s rely through

    sign language and symbols that they can only understand .

    LEARNERS BEHAVIOR

    The very unique behavior of students among the school visited . Various individuals having special

    condition are schooling here in different level They are behaving in an peculiar manner .

    SCHOOLS BEST PRACTICE

    Best school practice is treating and helping student with impaired hearing and visual ability. They are

    helping them restore particularly impaired with hearing ability through what they call auditory

    operation and according to them it costs 2 million and two of them are existing in their school, that is

    actually a part of their practice. The school is actually shouldering the expenses of the said transplant of

    ears and ear parts , They have special gadgets and tools good to cater learners with special capability .

    FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION

    I really love their administration they are doing their best to cater us in order for us to know their ways

    and programs about. They are welcoming us with joy and overwhelming approach to us . They even

    demonstrate some of their common practice inside the special school . They accept us to have a visit of

    their school . Their administration is supportive and I consider the bets in accommodating us . I am

    impressed since the heads of the school is actually the one who introduce their school instead of the

    teachers . I love them the most .

    Again the other best feature in this is the primal; use of sign language , and of being proficient to it .

    Connectivity to their learners . Their operation hearing to those having auditory impairment. With best

    facilities good or even the best program that aims to cater special child and even help to have a normal

    lifestyle as possible .

    Generally one of the best school I commend practicing the best ways and tools used are here . They

    have the best program that cater the child that has a unique conditions employed and good

    Facilities are at good condition functioning and still can cater the needs of learners . The facilities are

    built /installed with good quality that can be rest assured . They are having such technology that came

    obviously more on Japan . they are as well using technology in most of their presentation

    They are actually having mini garden despite of the lenient space . And a clean building with wide sky

    dome at the top of their structure . It is quite good to visit here since learning institution still conducive

    for learning and even it is quite small but tall building still the assurance to learn things out from thepractice f most Filipinos can be learned

    They are truly and for sure particular to discipline so I can assure , Japanese school is more on etiquette

    whether it is academic o personal . They are good on managing the classroom as well as abiding rules, in

    most of the Japanese are particular to such since the field of discipline is what they are usually

    accentuating aside from teaching academic concept .

    Other feature is their single building but a compact structure with a very fascinating sky dome of the

    international school I realy love the way they used to amalgamate the context of Japanese of the

    Philippine curricular practice .

    GENERAL IMPRESSION

    All In all they have a good Japanese practice of their curriculum here in the Philippines which includes

    their administrator and school academic structure . It is another unique school I ever visited during the

    Educational tour .

    Reflection

    Educational tour Adventure

    Educational tour is for me an opportunity that opens me to widen my experience, horizon , and

    understanding about curricular and institutional standards of other schools that they are implementing

    in their respective academic system . The Educational tour brings me a holistic understanding and

    realization , how everything is to be followed and understood . Even for just a lenient time trip for me ,I

    observe beyond what I expected to see and perceive regarding to the tour conducted. I have learnt a lot

    of valuable things from ethical, facility, administration, behavior , program design , system , technology

    and other measures and standards that they kept on using . This learning experience of mine is greatly

    consider as a portal that opens my eyes to new way of teaching , teaching aspirations and othermechanism that puts learners into advance learning ways , such as their frequent engagement to

    technology and highly scientific tools for their learning in order for it to be more advance ,

    comprehensive and standardized towards to their prior learning to this contemporary learning system .

    It welcomes me to various possibilities that good classroom set up affect the learning psychology

    and acquisition of the learners . I realized that each learning institution has technology that they rely on

    upon the learning of their students/pupils . I have observed that technology amalgamated to learning

    enormously affect them as an academic learner and a lifelong learner as well . It really inspires me and

    make me and make me pursue that teaching-learning outcome is merely depending to some

    interdependent factors which are the learning tools , materials , interest teaching ways and motivation

    etc. such factors aforementioned grow themselves as a learners and as an individual . In different

    schools I am actually amazed about their marvelous equipment that directs learning of their

    stakeholders . It make me feel at ease to rely instructions and conduct lesson presentations with such

    material as a part of my medium of instruction . From that I can say they are truly that advance . Many

    things are what I have learned just like our acquaintance to special children whom giving me the

    idealism that even themselves have the right to go to school and have proper educations n the

    curriculum . Now I can barely conclude that education is for all , that no one should be rejected and

    omitted of attaining educational pursuit . Not even in the midst of their disabilities whether physical,

    mental, emotional, social etc. I really admire some schools that have been systematized and

    technologized their system that even to the security purpose is being applied to their respective

    campuses.

    Educational tour gives me a lot of experiences as a teacher to be and as an individual that keeps on

    learning , that through a mere observation many thing comes to realization . I have learned as well that

    schooling in a city is so hard . It is quite better for me to live and school here in Mati. Teaching according

    to one of the teacher in Ateneo Elementary should not be taken as for money /living . You should take it

    with full heart and dedication. It really touches my soul towards teaching . I learned new ways on

    teaching how instructions are to be conducted . . I feel honored and grateful that such schools

    welcome and overwhelm us despite of their being badly busy . I have acquainted various batch mates

    and other davaowenyos . It is actually a nice valuable trip that dazzle me to enjoy living in hotel for 2

    nights .

    From trip It satisfies my learning , experience and acquaintance to various places and people as well as

    living Davao proper Many funny and controversial moments were occurring during the educational tour

    . In spite of the very systematized mechanism that has been established still there re little trouble occur

    I have experienced . Truly educational tour is a great experience for me to hone my knowledge about

    the system of other schools , the standards , medium of instructions , facilities , standard on buildingstructures , curricular goals , mission vision and core value s. My skills as well on how to manipulate

    things and other things that should be observed in teaching .
