Function: Spelling of different words. Phonology: Animals and colour sounds. The teacher greets the students and asks them which the vowels are. Then she plays a video and asks the pupils to pay attention to the vowels that appeared in it. The second time she plays the video, she asks the students if they noticed “something” weird in it. After finding out the missing vowel, the teacher requests the students to dance and sing with her. After that, the teacher explains a game which consists of dividing the class into three groups, giving each group and envelope with letters corresponding to the name and the colour of an animal. Each student has to stick only one letter under the image in a piece of paper stuck in the whiteboard. The first group that finishes sticking the letters in the correct order wins. Finally, the teacher gives each pupil a photocopy with an activity which involves completing the name of the animal

Song - Vowel song

Students’ age: 5 to 6

Linguistic contents:
