TECHNICAL ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEATS

List of the components: 1 Horizontal beam of the cleat (securing mooring ropes) 2 Cleat frame 3 Slot for the spanner to assembly/disassembly of the

rod 3a Slot for the spanner to assembly/disassembly of the

gas spring cylinder 4 Cleat rod 5 Gas spring cylinder 6 Under deck counter plate (on request) 7 Locking bolts

Before fitting the cleat on the deck, you have to check,(when the cleat is opened in working position), if it is possible to put the locking bolts through the holes. Only if this step is not possible, you have to unscrew the rods (4), to rotate the beam of the cleats and to fit the bolts through the locking holes (the rods could have a slot for wrench. If not, they have an hexagon you can reach only from below after removing the part 5 and using a long allen key) . Warning : the frame (2) must match perfectly the deck . After the assembly of the frame (2) fit the bolts and tighten securely the nuts below the counter plate under the deck. We suggest you to protect the bolts with anti-corrosion grease.

The flush cleat combines aesthetics and functionality.

The frame of the cleats is very slim. The ergonomic shape of the beam (1) allows to open/close easily the cleat with a slight pressure of the hand or of the foot. The cleats are available made of AL6082, A304-316 stainless steel and the finishing can be: mirror polished, peening, silver anodizing, black or grey hardkote anodizing.

Assembling instruction : The deck must be preset for the installation of the cleat frame and for its hidden part under the deck ( gas springs housing). The sliding (4) rods are watertight. Solimar will provide a drawing complete of all the technical information about the drilling assembling of the bolts and of the cylinders (5) through the deck. Warning: for a better load distribution on the deck we recommend you to perform the holes of the cylinders with accuracy ( +0,3/+0,5)

Flush cleat in closed position

The frame of the cleat must be glued on the deck by using epoxy glue (or similar), smearing the product as showed in the picture (2) (marked with red colour). Before applying the glue you must clean and degrease the surfaces. The cylinders (5) have to be coated with glue as showed on picture (2) (deck thickness)

TECHNICAL ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLUSH CLEATS

List of the components: 1 Horizontal beam of the cleat (securing mooring ropes) 2 Cleat frame 3 Slot for the spanner to assembly/disassembly of the rod 3a Slot for the spanner to assembly/disassembly of the gas

spring cylinder 4 Cleat rod 5 Gas spring cylinder 6 Under deck counter plate (on request) 7 Locking bolts 8 Deck 9 Teak deck 10 Seal rubber

Solimar will provide a drawing complete of all the technical information about the drilling assembling of the bolts and of the cylinders (5) through the deck. Warning: for a better load distribution on the deck we suggest you to perform the holes of the cylinder with accuracy (+0,3/+0,5)

Assembling instruction : The deck must be preset for the installation of the cleat frame and for its hidden part under the deck (gas springs housing). The sliding rods are watertight. On the deck, you must preset the drainages for the water exit from the cleat frame. Before to fit the cleat on the deck you have to check , (when the cleat is in working position), if it is possible to put the locking bolts through the holes. Only if this step is not possible, you have to unscrew the rods (4), to rotate the beam of the cleats and to fit the bolts through the locking holes. The frame of the cleat must be glued in the recess preset on the deck by using epoxy glue (or similar), smearing the product as showed in the picture (3) (marked with red colour). Before applying the glue you must clean and degrease the surfaces. The cylinders (5) have to be coated with glue as showed on picture (2) (deck thickness) Warning : the frame (2) must matches perfectly to the supporting recess surface. After the assembly of the frame (2) fit the bolts and tighten securely the nuts below the counter plate under the deck. We recommend you to protect the bolts with anti-corrosion grease. You can now complete the installation with the laying of the rubber in the slot (5-6mm. thickness) all around the cleat frame.

The frame of the cleats is fully flush. The central raised shape of the beam (1) allows to open/close easily the cleat with a slight pressure of the hand or of the foot. The cleats are available made of AL6082, A304-316 stainless steel and the finishing can be: mirror polished, peening, silver anodizing, black or grey hardkote anodizing.

The new flush cleat combines aesthetics and functionality.
