Update From Mrs. Duits November was a busy month. We began November with parent teacher conferences and ended with warmer temperatures and Thanksgiving. Often I hear from families about what they can do at home to help their child to learn and grow. I cannot express how important it is to read to your child every day. This can be reading the library book they checked out from Mrs. Reese or maybe you have a collection of books at home to select from. The benefits for reading aloud to your child are endless! You are increasing their vocabulary, curiosity and memory. Another thing you can to do is to sit down with your child to look through their school work that comes home each week. Celebrate the great work! I truly believe that School + Home = SUCCESS. Canned Food Drive and Pajama Drive Today was the last day to send in canned food and non- perishable items for our canned food drive. Each class totaled up their items and I will announce the winner in my weekly email today. The class that brought in the most items will receive a pizza party on Mrs. Duits. There has been much talk this week about which teacher has the most items. Many teachers have been pretty sneaky this week, hiding items in their classrooms. Today was also the last day to send in pajamas, underwear and socks for Manna’s Market. The donations flowed in and we are extremely appreciative of the support we have received from all of our families with making our drives a HUGE success! Thank you!!
