Why digitization?
We are all witnessing an ever-accelerating process of digitization of almost everything. Entire industries are going through a digital transformation of traditional business models and
established value chains. With the huge and still increasing amount of active smartphone users, pervasive digital
communication channels and billions of connected devices realizing the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT), society at large is confronted both with a big data opportunity and thread.
Digitization can be a tool or a weapon, it can provide huge benefits but also do harm. The interdisciplinary approach of this series of lectures will trigger many critical discussions and provide you with a powerful set of principles, concepts
and values helping to succeed and flourish in the digital world.
