    Existing SAP customers using classic General Ledger Accounting can use new General LedgerAccounting +y actiating it in -ustomiing or with the "AGL A-/01A/02# transaction.

    /he "AGL A-/01A/02# transaction is executed at the start of course A-3'4 to ena+le you to

    explore the new functions. 0n a production system, this transaction is one of the last actiitiesperformed during the migration project leading up to the implementation of new General Ledger

    Accounting. 5ou set the actiation switch at the client leel, not at the company code leel.

    oweer, the actiation results in system6wide changes to the appearance of the application and

    customiing menu paths.

    #ote! /he reerse conclusion means that new General Ledger Accounting is neer actiatedautomatically as part of a technical upgrade to SAP ERP.

    posted automatically when a posting is made to the profit center.

    the dummy profit center does not hae a segment in the master data, then no segment account

    assignment exists.
