The Sales Process
• Demonstration of creation of a lead
• Lead source is predicated on the department selected
• Demonstration of qualifying the lead
Leads
When a lead is qualified it automatically creates:• Account, which pulls over the following:
• Company name• Newly created contact• Industry• Ship to address• Main phone• Fax• Description
• Contact, which pulls over the following:• Full name (first name and last name)• Job Title• Newly created account• Email• Business phone• Mobile phone• Fax• Address• Marketing preferences• Description
Creation of Accounts and Contacts
• When a Lead is qualified you are taken to the newly created opportunity
• The following fields are taken from the lead to the opportunity:
• Newly created account• Newly created contact• Distributor• Department• Competitor 1, 2 and 3• Source campaign• Description• Topic
• Demonstrate the business process flow
Opportunities
Opportunity Fallback
• If an opportunity needs to be put on hold, but is not ready to be closed
• Simply set the fallback field to yes• Most reports, charts/dashboards and views will not
show opportunities in the fallback setting• The opportunities showing on the account will
include fallback opportunities
• The number of days on opportunity is in sales stage still grows for fallback opportunities
• There are some exception reports that are listed on the next slide
What is Fallback and how does it work?
Exceptions for FallbackWhere are Fallback Opportunities Included:- The list of Open Opportunities listed on the Account screen and on the Account 360 form will
continue to include ALL Open Opportunities for the Account. We’ve added a column so you can tell if the Opportunity is in Fallback or not.
- Report 530 & 530b which check for Accounts with Opportunities will continue to include ALL Open Opportunities.
- Reports 500 & 510 which are Usage reports will include all Open Opportunities.- Report 303 which lists all Open Opportunities will include those in Fallback unless you specifically
filter them to not be included. A column for Fallback has been added to the end of the report.- Report 301b which is the Opportunity Close Rate (Based on Date Created), will include ALL
Opportunities.- Win Rate Charts that analyze Opportunities created in the last 24 Months will include ALL
Opportunities.

“How does our IT department access the 900 integration instruction sheet?”

To access the 900 integration spreadsheet, follow the
below steps:
• Click on your main navigation
• Go to Workplace>documents
• Scroll to the bottom
• Click on the “900 – Integration File Layouts for
Energy Solution”
• If your IT department does not have access to CRM
this file can be sent to them
“Can you add a customer’s logo on the quote section?”

• This would be possible through the supplier
logo
• You can add a new supplier logo and name
the record after your customer
• We do recommend only doing this for 1
or 2 customers that you work with
frequently as the maintenance of this
