Hey for those of you who dont know my name is Lee Collins and I am from Upper Marlboro Maryland. My family and I drove 1o hours getting to the best college in the entire world Clark Atlanta University (the Drive was worth it)

1st day on campus ( I remember looking at the big dome building and thinking I came to the right place)

(Club Woody) On the first day of orientation we also had a library tour where we discovered how amazingly high-tech and cutting edge the library seemed I never seen anything that looked so spectacular in my life everything from the lavish cafs to the multi-media computer rooms and who can forget the 3 story stair case made of marble and oh yeah the books are cool to except no one reads those ancient things anymore

So in my first freshman seminar class one of the instructors from the Mass Media department professor Robinson had invited us to come work on his show from the press box to see how things are done and so I decided I was goanna go

This is the logo of the show I eventually came to work on From the Press Box is a sports broadcast show that highlights college and professional sports and I love working on this show were all one big happy family here on the press box.

Walking in I was kind of nervous. I didn't know what to expect I always wanted to work in TV and film but I did not know how they were going to receive me but I soon came to realize I have nothing to worry about because everyone was very nice and very receiving of me the upperclassman taught me so many cool things about Media and I even got to use the camera my first day It was an amazing feeling and I have been going back ever since. (I love it!) And F.Y.I.) I dont like this pic it makes look like I m not doing anything when it was the opposite.

So let me give You a virtual tour of the crew and set of the award winning show From The Press Box.

This is Nevel the set designer and camera operator for the show he very knowledgeable about sets and lights from the show.

This is Chris and he is the floor manager and the audio person on the show he is extremely funny and always cracking jokes on the set.

All of the Upperclassmen are my mentors and role models on how to make it in the CAU Mass Media program and eventually the Mass Media program of the world. I will always feel internally grateful for their wisdom and guidance they have given me.

So for Class we had to read a book called Mandelas Way and we had a class discussion with a professor who was real deep and helped us analyze the true lessons of Mandelas teachings and I now feel that I can use Mandelas teachings in every day life to deal with situations.

All of the AUC schools came together in the Morehouse Chapel in solidarity to show are unity. After that we all partied!

Went to CAU chapel on Sunday for the first time. it was very spiritual.

The symbol of our induction into CAU was to light a candle and recite the CAU creed. Thankfully everything went well and no one caught on fire.
