Lamipak has recently achieved another important milestone in their pursuit of being a more sus- tainable manufacturer by being awarded LEED GOLD at its Kunshan site. The buildings that have achieved LEED GOLD certification were its aseptic package production building & automated warehouse where we scored high on recyclability, work environment and transportation. What is LEED? LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, it is a green building evaluation system. The aim is to effectively reduce the negative impact on the environment and occupants in the design. The purpose is to standardize a complete and accurate concept of a green building. Established by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and implemented in 2000, LEED has become a mandatory standard in some US states and some other countries. Our Lamipak building covers an area of around 20,000 m2 of land and houses approximately 500 employees. Apart from construction and efficiency, and the materials that make up our buildings, our employees is the most important priority and also the same for LEED. In regards to this, Lamipak has placed a lot of effort in creating a comfortable and efficient work environment for employees because Lamipak also believes the same as LEED where “Improved health and productivity benefits are playing a larger role than ever before in driving companies to invest in green building” . In addition, Lamipak plans to install solar panels on the roof of all future buildings. With the solar panels installed, the buildings can become more sustainable and created a bigger impact on reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. As Lamipak continues to increase its efforts in sustainability we believe the LEED GOLD certification is only the start of more green initiatives in the near future. Lamipak has recently achieved another important milestone in their pursuit of being a more sus-tainable manufacturer by being awarded LEED GOLD at its Kunshan site. The buildings that have achieved LEED GOLD certification were its aseptic package production building & automated warehouse where we scored high on recyclability, work environment and transportation.

What is LEED?LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, it is a green building evaluation system.

In regards to this, Lamipak has placed a lot of effort in creating a comfortable and efficient work environment for employees because Lamipak also believes the same as LEED where “Improved health and productivity benefits are playing a larger role than ever before in driving companies to invest in green building”.
