Friends,

We’d like to start out by thanking our past sponsors for making the last three years of Legacy possible. These sponsors have enabled our organization to design and manage award-winning events that unite the Triangle community, provide students with first-class educational work experiences, and raise funds & awareness for various local causes. The invaluable experience, community support, and knowledge we’ve acquired over the last three years has strengthened Legacy’s mission.

This fall Legacy’s Student Leaders are planning three fantastic events, including: the 1st annual Glenwood South Festival, the Raleigh Living Dead Halloween Fest, and the 2nd annual Triangle Entrepreneurship Week. Legacy is also one of the charities chosen to benefit from this year’s Couture for Cause fashion show produced by Activate Good. Beyond mentoring Student Leaders as they plan and manage these community driven events, Legacy is in the process of expanding our efforts, including establishing a scholarship fund for higher education, forming Legacy chapters in other regions throughout the Southeast, and providing a internship headhunting services to help connect top performing university students with fulfilling career opportunities. This is where you come in - we need your help to make this vision of growth and expansion a successful reality! You can support our organization in the following ways:

• Sponsor a Scholarship Fund: Establish a higher education scholarship fund in your name that will support a minimum of one student a year for the next five years as we maintain efforts to grow the fund.

• Sponsor Legacy for a Year: Support Legacy’s mission by contributing funds to the organization’s daily operations including student mentoring, event acquisition, and event staff management.

• Sponsor Legacy’s Annual Fundraiser: Support Legacy’s annual fundraiser which will celebrate the successful events managed by Student Leaders and raises community’s awareness of our organization and our mission.

• Sponsor a Student Leader: Directly impact students’ educational work experience by sponsoring a Student Leader for a semester-long, hands-on event management internship.

Legacy Event Planners was founded in 2008 by three North Carolina State University students: Jenn Halweil, Joseph Heil and Will McGuire. The mission of Legacy Event Planners is to assist organizations and companies in creating memorable events that unite communities. Since 2008, Legacy has been recognized for designing award-winning events including the Hillsborough Street Renaissance Festival, Live it Up! Festival, NC Hemophilia Walk-a-Thon, Triangle’s Entrepreneurship Week, as well as several more intimate and academic events.

Currently, Legacy Event Planners provides event management and business development services to companies located in the Triangle area. The organization is also committed to mentoring college students, assisting them in gaining hands-on, professional event planning experience through our Service Learning Internship program. These students work directly with our local business clients to illustrate that when communities work together, they can better mobilize resources for community events, local businesses, and beneficial local projects.

Service Learning Scholarship Fund - $30,000 (1 spot) Establish a higher education scholarship fund in your name, supporting a minimum of one student a year for the next five years. Legacy will invest your contribution in a community fund, earning ~7% interest a year, and will award the earned interest to qualified students. Our intentions are to grow the fund so it may last beyond five years, providing resources for generations to come. In exchange for your contribution, you will receive:

• Naming rights of the Service Learning Scholarship Fund • Opportunity to participate in the creation of the scholarship application and granting of scholarships to students • A Student Leaders Service Learning awards banquet hosted on your behalf • A page on Legacy’s website dedicated to your organization/company and the Service Learning Scholarship Fund,

featuring a video interview.
