Immersion Programmes


Rural Immersion

MIT-WPU method sensitizes students towards realities of rural India by immersing(staying) in the villages and

contributing to humanity. Students will contribute to rural development especially for activities related to

banking & financial services in rural areas in India.

National Study Tour

Each student will go for National Study Tour which will include exposure to top banks, NBFCs, financial service

organizations. Each Student during this tour, will gain hands on experience of the planning and organizing of

bank & financial services management.

International Immersion

In order to create graduates who are ready to become global leaders, it is vital that they gain the relevant

experience on an international stage. The MIT-WPU Method will give you the opportunity to learn and embrace

different cultures from all over the world. You'll see how businesses operate in different environments and apply

the skills you've learnt throughout the course in practical international situations.

About the program


The Construction Business is one of the most flourishing business areas in the present

decade. Large scale urbanization & government’s encouragement to civil infrastructure

development have played a vital role in the development of housing & construction

sectors. Project Management is an essential element of any construction activity.

Construction of any building, irrespective of its application – residential, commercial or

any other, as well as any other civil infrastructure project requires very sound planning &

execution. Hence, it becomes absolutely essential to have educated & trained manpower to

do the needful.

The MBA program provides inputs to the students in the knowledge areas of basic general

management as well as core construction & project management along with necessary

cross-domain inputs from Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Supply Chain

Management & IT. A proper blend of Academics & industry-interface enables the students

to become knowledgeable professionals in Construction & Project Management.

Summer Internship (Field Work)


Summer Internship is done by each student after Term III. It is an integral part

of the curriculum. Each student has to satisfactorily complete Summer

Internship for becoming eligible for the degree.

On Site Training

Each student will work upon a live project in Term VI in a Construction or

Project Organization. The same shall provide an On-site training to the

student & make him /her confident in commencing new career.


Eligibilty


Graduate from any Statutory University in any branch of Engineering

(preferably Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering) or Architecture with

minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level.

OR

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in any non-

engineering discipline with minimum 2 years’ experience in the same field.

*Candidates passing degree examination by part-time / correspondence / external course / distance learning or in one

sitting are not eligible. Note: Candidates appearing for Final year bachelor's degree examinations may apply but their

admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
