AGRICULTURE

The NFL-YET Nänäkuli Boys and Girls Club HI (NBGCH) features a native plant gar-den. Tatyana Samuels is the NBGCH's Youth of the Year. Sen. Shimabukuro enjoyed attending the annual Veterans' Day ceremony at Herbert K. Pili-laau Army Recreation Center on 11/11/15. She, along with Commander Rocky Naeole (Lee-ward VFW Post 849), and keynote speaker Brigadier General Bruce Oliveira, posed with Wai‘anae and Nänäkuli ROTC students after the ceremony. On 01/21/16, the Aha Moku Advisory Committee (AMAC) visited the Capitol. The AMAC promotes the Hawaiian system of natural resource management, which has been handed down in oral tradition and practice.
