Counselor CornerWho is your School Counselor?

Who’s Who in Guidance?Students are assigned to a guidance counselor by the letter(s) of the last name. They will have the same counselor for all four years they attend Lehigh Senior. Students, please look to see who your guidance counselor will be this coming school year. This is the person you will contact for any assistance you may have throughout the year.

College & Career CenterRemember that the counselors are in the college and career center every day during lunch shifts to answer any student questions, help with college applications, ACT/SAT waivers and registration, and any other academic advising that may be needed.

College NightWhere: FSW Suncoast ArenaWhen: September 15, 2020 Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

ScholarshipsNow is the time for juniors and seniors to start looking at what scholarships and financial aid is available. Scholarships are listed in your google classroom. They are added daily. Below are listed some general sites for you to explore. Many more are listed on Lehigh Senior High School’s web-site under Academics

SUMMER Guidance InformationJust a reminder the school counselors will be off during the summer. The summer is the best time to make up any missing credits and you can do that during summer school (e2020) contact your counselor or on Lee County Virtual School (flvs.net)

SchedulesStudents’ schedules will not be mailed. After August 24th, 2020 you will be able to view your students’ schedule on FOCUS. Due to the large student population there will be no schedule changes.

Parent/GuardianPlease check your son/daughter’s grades and attendance on Focus weekly. Please notify your student’s counselor immediately for any concerns you have. We all need to work together to help our students be successful.

Dual EnrollmentFor the 2020-2021 school year dual enrollment applications will open in October. Please listen for announcements at lunch or on your grade level google classroom. Freshmen and sophomores need a 3.5 unweighted GPA. Juniors and seniors need a 3.0. Application instructions will be

given to students who sign up for dual enrollment during October. For current dual enrollment students that are registered for the fall classes, college classes start August 24th. Please see Mrs. Plucker before that start date to get your books. There is a dual enrollment google classroom that posts important dates and information for dual students. If you are not in this classroom, please e-mail Mrs. Plucker at [email protected] to be added. This google classroom is only for currently enrolled dual students who have applied, been accepted, and passed testing.
