Dear citizens,
It is with great pleasure that we introduce the City of Pointe-Claires first Leisure Guide, which contains information on cultural, sports, leisure, and community development activities.
This new publication is part of the Strategic Plan recently adopted by City Council and is part of our ongoing efforts to provide Pointe-Claire citizens with top-quality services.
In the new Guide, you will easily find all the information youre looking for on the activities that interest you. You may even discover new hobbies! Its dynamic visuals make it easy to consult and give you a glimpse of the wide range and quality of leisure activities offered in Pointe-Claire.
As you browse through these pages, you will find relevant information on the Citys regular programs, registration periods, recreational facilities, and special events.
Culture Notes, a detachable insert located in the centre fold, is an invitation to a wide range of cultural events, performances and exhibitions, and a comprehensive listing of shows that will take place in our parks throughout the summer.
If you have not yet obtained your MULTI Card, we suggest that you do so. This card is required if you wish to register for any activity offered by the City. It is available to residents free of charge and replaces your library card. The MULTI Card can also be used as proof of residency, giving you access to certain municipal services such as the Ecocentre. You can obtain your card at the Central Library or at the Aquatic Centre.
Summer is a great opportunity to take advantage of our green spaces and bicycle paths, and to enjoy water sports of all kinds on Lake Saint-Louis. Your health and safety are of utmost concern to us and we urge you to exercise caution at all times, whether you are on foot, on your bicycle, or on the water.
On behalf of City Council, we wish you a safe and pleasant summer!
