This is a simple bag, big enough to carry my notes and a bottle of water. I tried to draft and upload a pattern
for it, i think it came out quite good. My bag is the longer version, but i marked a line in the pattern, where

you could shorten the bag. Seam allowence is 1,5cm (5/8) included in each piece. Just cut, interface and sew
:) Have fun!
Materials
cotton, interface, velcro/ snap/ button, I'm sorry, I'm not able to say something about the amount of fabric, I
used scraps of Tilda-fabric.
Step 1 — ironing
iron
before, after and in between
don’t complain about it, just do it :)
Step 2 — cutting and interfacing
now cut out the pattern pieces and iron on the interfacing (with strong fabric or high rated lazyness you can
skip the interface)
Step 3 — sew your bag

connect A and B (bag and upper bag parts)
you now should have two parts for the outer bag and two made of your lining fabric.
Step 4 — add embellishment
I added bias binding an some kind of lace, you also could sew on embroidery or something like that
Step 3 — sew your bag 4

Step 5 — add the inner pocket(s)
fold over the edges of the pocket. Sew the upper edge. Now place the pocket on your lining and sew.
(If you want to close your pocket with velcro/ a snap/ a button you should add this first)
Step 6 — sew bag and lining bag
now you sew together the outer and the inner bag: right sides facing!
At the bottom fo your lining bag you’ll have to leave a slit open, this is where you want to turn the bag inside
out after sewing lining and outer bag together.
Step 5 — add the inner pocket(s) 5

Step 7 — sew together lining bag and outer bag
now you turn your outer bag inside out. In my picture it’s the black visible interfacing.
Turn your lining bag with the right side out (so on the inside of your bag are now the raw edges).
In my picture the white interfacing is now in the inside of my bag.
The right sides of your bags are now facin.
Line up the edges/ corners and now sew together your bag.

this is how it should look (without this nasty stains on my ironing board :) )
Step 9 — turning
now turn your bag inside out throug the hole you left open in your lining.
Close the hole.
Step 10 — put your lining bag inside your outer bag
now you’ve got a bag without straps

Step 11 — sew your straps
you’ve got 4 strap pieces (interfaced or not). Sew them together, right sides facing. Turn inside out and fold
in the raw edge. Iron. Pull over the raw edges on your bag and sew together.
Step 12 — now
topstitch bag and strap and you’re done!
