CAN YOU HELP SUPPORT THE EASTER ORCHESTRA? We are very fortunate to have a fine group of professional orchestral players who accompany our magnificent AMBROSIAN CHORISTERS on the great feasts of the Church Year. Our orches-tral musicians are funded by private contributions and not from Church Funds. If you would like to be a part of this endeavor, please let us know. The sponsorship for one musician is $250.00. Any contribution helps! Please earmark your check “Easter Orchestra”. Think About it: Every generation of Americans needs to know that freedom exists, not to do what you like, but having the right to do what you ought. You weren’t made to “fit in,” my brothers and sisters. You were born to stand out. Set yourself apart from this corrupt genera-tion. Be saints. Jim Caviezel, actor—recent address to college students PASCHAL FLOWER FUND The offering envelopes for our Paschal Flower Fund are on the table in the Narthex. Flower donations can be given in memory of a beloved person. Your intentions will be remembered at the altar during the Octave of Easter. Thank you so much for helping to make the church beau-tiful for Easter! The Church Fathers Speak: Knowing the will of God is one of the most delicate and complicat-ed matters of our lives ... it requires patience, trials, temptations and ascetic experience to ex-tinguish our own will and passions in order for His will to be revealed. Elder Joseph the Hesy-chast (+1959) Think About It: Control desire and you will overcome anger; for desire gives rise to anger. St. Thallasios the Libyan (7th century) FOOD FOR HUNGRY PEOPLE DRIVE PRAYER, FASTING and ALMSGIVING are the three “legs” upon which the “table of Lent” stands. All three components are a necessary part of the Lenten Discipline; The Services of the Church during Lent, personal prayer, fasting, and the giving of money saved on more extravagant eating given to the poor. We do this last part as a corporate endeavor through our “Food for Hungry People” drive in our Archdiocese. Please take your “alms box,” fill it up and bring it back on the Sunday after Easter. KING SOOPERS GIFT CARDS Remember, you can purchase your King Soopers Gift cards from Debbie Braun. Buy groceries, etc. at King Soopers and help the Church with each pur-chase! Reload the card, keep using it and help the Church. We did not meet our goal last month. Easter is coming—use your cards! JUDY JARRETT TRIBUTE As we mentioned several weeks ago, Debbie Braun is producing a book of letters and tributes for her mohter Judy, a long-time parishioner of St. Augustine’s. She needs them by March 23. Think About It: All Christians must prove what they believe by their way of life! Elder Joseph the Hesychast (+1959) UP-COMING DATES TO MARK IN YOUR CALENDAR

Wisdom from the Church Fathers—Real peace is found only in the meeting of mankind with God. By having divine peace, we have everything and become fearless before every aggression and enemy. By having the peace of God, we can then have peace with our fellow human be-ings. Blessed Moses the Athonite (+2014)
