2 Timothy 3:16

• 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

• 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26

• 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Why Did God Give us the Bible?

1. To teach us the way of salvation (deliverence) by trusting in Jesus.

God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning." 21 The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.

1. Study carefully the notes you have taken in class; be sure you understand them.

2. Study carefully Questions 1-17; 145-147 in the Catechism. Be able to answer these questions in your own words.

3. Complete the “Working with God’s Word” section. Read the Bible sections and fill in all the blanks. Parents please check this section and correct their Bible Study.

4. Memorize these Bible verses:

John 1:17 – “The law was given through Moses; grace and truth cam through Jesus Christ.”

Romans 1:16 – VIP “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.”

John 10:35 – “The Scripture cannot be broken.”
