Challenge: Company doubling every year.Prepare for large influx of new employees doing key jobs.
Approach: JI Instruction and Job Breakdown Workshops for 5 key functions
Outcome: Mixed. JI Trainees gave positive reviews, but didn't follow thru. Company now contracting for recording standard work.

Turner Construction
Challenge: Raise the level of competence and adopt standard approaches for shop drawing reviews.
Approach: JI Instruction and Job Breakdown Workshops with the 6 best project engineers.
Outcome: Positive reviews. JI trained engineers teaching the other 70 engineers.

AE (Design) Firm
Challenge: Teach project leaders new roles in lean project delivery for design projects
Approach: Developed job breakdowns that were introduced JI-style, revised, and then used to introduce others to the roles.
Results: Very well received. Project leaders have quickly demonstrated proficiency. Will be employed on a very large program as start of company-wide deployment.
