What will I learn?
The crea�ve media industry has grown rapidly over the
past ten years and this qualifica�on has been developed
to provide voca�onally-related educa�on and training
for those who are intending to work in the crea�ve
media sector. It gives learners the opportunity to
develop skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to
the media industries in an applied learning context and
the opportunity to develop a range of skills and
techniques, personal quali�es and a'tudes essen�al for
successful performance in working life.
You will study units including;

⇒ Developing a small business in the crea�ve media
industries

How will I be assessed?
The framework awards credit for qualifica�ons and
units, presen�ng qualifica�ons in a way that is easy to
understand and measure. Each unit will be assessed
individually with possible awards of Pass, Merit and
Dis�nc�on which make up the whole qualifica�on. It
enables learners to gain qualifica�ons at their own pace
along flexible routes.
What can I do when I complete the course?
There is poten�al for the qualifica�on to prepare
learners for employment in the appropriate voca�onal
sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that
they wish to enter a par�cular area of work. Some
learners may wish to gain the qualifica�on in order to
progress to a level 4 related programme in higher
educa�on.
Level 3 Diploma (2 Years) Broadly equivalent to 1.5 GCE A Level
What will I learn?
The engineering sector con�nues to suffer from a skills
gap and needs to keep up with the rapidly developing
technologies. The BTEC Na�onals in Engineering have
been designed to give you the underpinning knowledge
and specific skills needed to meet the needs of the
modern mechanical engineering industries.
Students will study a variety of mandatory units and
op�onal units that will cover a number of areas
including;
⇒ Health and Safety
⇒ Mechanical principles and opera�ons
⇒ Engineering project
⇒ Engineering drawing for technicians

What will I learn?
Enterprise@Freebrough are the approved Cleveland
Hub for the delivery of the Enterprise and
Entrepreneurship qualifica!ons through the Peter Jones
Enterprise Academy. The qualifica!on helps develop
students’ understanding of planning, se)ng up and
running their own business and looks at all the stages
needed including actual running of the business. The
course is delivered through a combina!on of teaching,
master classes, workshops and placements, and
involves interac!on with local, na!onal and
interna!onal businesses. The course is suited to people
who are focussed on self-employment or anyone
interested in working in any business environment and
can be studied alongside any of the other courses on
offer.
You will cover topics such as:

⇒ Launching your business vision

What will I learn?
Health and Social Care con�nues to be one of the
largest industries in our area. These courses combine
prac�cal, theory and work placement experience to
allow you to develop skills and knowledge needed to
commence employment within any of the Health and
Social care sectors or progress onto higher educa�on.
You will cover topics such as;

⇒ Equality, Diversity and Rights
⇒ Anatomy and Physiology
⇒ Work placement in a health and social care
environment

There are many progression and career opportuni�es

Level 3 students can progress onto Higher educa�on to
complete studies in many Health and Social Care fields
including Nursing, Midwifery, Occupa�onal Therapy,
Social Work or gain employment within the Health and
Social Care sector.
A Level (2 Years)
What will I learn?
This qualifica�on will give you one A level. It has been
designed to encourage candidates to take a broad view
of design and technology, to develop their capacity to
design and make products and to appreciate the
complex rela�ons between design, materials,
manufacture and marke�ng. This course would be
beneficial to students currently studying or who have an
interest in engineering, resistant materials or graphic
design.
The units to be covered are:

Unit 2 PROD2 Learning Through Designing and Making
Unit 3: PROD3 Design and Manufacture
Unit 4 PROD4 Design and Making Prac�ce
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through 2 centre assessed
elements and 2 external examina�ons.
