US PRESIDENTIAL EDITION THE BATTLE OF TRUMP V CLINTON

Trump has attacked actress Meryl Streep on Twitter call-ing her ‘overrated’ because she adressed him in her speech at the Golden Globes.

THE presidential voting is over and as we all know, Mr Donald Trump is the new president elect and will of-ficially be the president of the US on the 20th of January 2017.

There was an estimated 130.2 million people that voted during the election. abused or even dramatically attacked. A student from the University of

New Mexico who spoke to the BBC said “I was sitting down in the library in my school and a very big man wear-ing a trump shirt walks up behind me. I start to turn around, but before I can see who’s there, a hand is on my head… at-tempting to push my hijab back. I told him he has every right to believe what

he wants and he can say whatever he wants but as soon as he puts his hands on me , then things get serious “she says . “He then walked away saying I’m go-ing to sit down before you throw a gre-nade at me”. “I told him that he has eve-ry right to believe what he wants and he can say whatever he wants but as soon as he puts his hands on me , then things will get serious.

THE election results are not keeping celebrities quiet, many celebrities have announced their endorsements of candidates, both Democrats and Republicans. Celebs who you supposed would never support Donald Trump have come out to say they do.

One of the most iconic celebri-ties Kanye West is believe it or not a Trump supporter! He loved Trump’s approach at a concert in San Jose, Calif, on Nov 17, 2016. “If I would have voted, I would have voted for Trump,” seeing that Kanye wanted to run as president, this is a big shock to all his fans and supporters.

On the other hand Miley Cyrus who is a Hillary Clinton supporter has used her social thumb to get as many voters for Hillary. The final outcome of the election had Miley Cyrus in tears as she shared her reaction on social

media, posting a video on how devas-tated she was about Donald Trump be-coming president of the United States.

Furthermore J.K Rowling shared a message with her Twitter followers stating that “We stand together. We stick up for the vulnerable. We chal-lenge bigots. We don’t let hate speech become normalised. We hold the line”. This tweet was posted on the 9 of No-vember 2016 at 7:25 AM, and received over 42,090 retweets and 74,344 likes.

The vast majority of celebri-ties were opposed to Donald Trump winning the election, however it was shocking to see Kim Kardashians ex-husband Kris Humphries, the NBA ath-lete, who currently plays for the Wash-ington Wizards, sharing his thoughts on social media “Make America Great Again”. This tweet sparked up a mixed reaction to the Twitter world, with gen-erally receiving negative comments in return, “This is why Kim Kardashian left you”. DURING the election Hillary Clinton wore a variety of clean pressed, very plain suits. They are a range of col-ours but one colour that pops up the most is blue.

Hilary probably took inspiration from the rainbow and that said she wears the colours loud and proud not the colours wearing her. Another rea-sons is that she’s showing her support to the gay society in the different coloured suits. The reason for the colour blue, is because it symbolises loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust. And Clinton wore blue many times on many occasions as blue represents what comes across in her campaign.

For Trump on the other hand had a slight formal but boring attire for the

whole election with the same colour red tie with a few patterns thrown in there. The reason for the colour red, is because it has a lot of meaning behind it, such as energy, war, danger strength, power, passion and desire. Trump wore red throughout the whole thing and red definitely represents what comes across in his campaign and we can unfortu-nately see more coming and his boring suits. Hillary and Donald’s fashion has taken a toll on the public, more celebs who can afford it, such as Beyoncé in a plain pink suit. There’s also been im-pressions of her fashion that can be seen on this year’s Teen Choice Awards, as John Cena dresses in drag as Hillary.

Miley Cyrus (pictured above) was a vocal supporter of Clinton.

SINCE the US elections there has been a dramatic increase in racial harassment.

The Southern Poverty Law Centre has recorded more than 700 cases of hateful harassment or intimidation in America from November 9, the follow-ing day after the elections and Novem-ber 16. The president of the centre said “They’ve been everywhere, in schools in places of business like Walmart, on the street”.

Since the American elections there has been a several number of hate crimes which has flooded all over dif-ferent types of social media. Not all the reports are verified, but most of these verbal hate on social media is coming from teenaged kids who are all over the net spreading negative feed.

Reported hate crimes against Mus-lims have also rose to 6.7per cent. Many Muslims live in deep fear and are afraid of representing their religion in public due to the fact of getting verbally

Besiana has shown how much of an asset she is on and off the field, and is deserved sports student of the week.

Leyton Sixth Form College’s vol-leyball teams recently took part in the regional championship. The men and women’s team both finished a re-spectable second, despite the women playing with each other for the first time.

The women’s squad was Weronika Rosinska, Ihima Sebastiao, Rosemary Alebiosu, Carla Pedro, Katarzyna Zak, Kawthar Allachi, Besiana Rexha and Jessica Yee Anaduwe. There is a spe-cial mention to Weronika Rosinika who was outstanding throughout the compe-tition.

Despite a strong start in the final the mens team fell apart losing the re-mainig sets against a strong South Vic team. The men’s squad were Kacper Rutkowski, Javed Khan, Avinash Pa-daruth, Eashan Khan, Alexandru Zam-fir, Gravrila Chindris, Mihai Turcu and Patryk Wierszko. The team were diappointed with the result especcially after strong start in the first set.

Big Moe’s Dinner IN London there are many restau-rants but only a few have an Ameri-can dinner theme. One of these restau-rants that I enjoyed eating in was ‘Big Moes diner’. I enjoyed the Texan strip Burger. The burger had a unique taste to it. I also enjoyed the chicken stripes as well as the chips.

While you eat you can hear old classic American songs. There mainly from the 1950s era. The mood is very relaxing and its great place to bring friends. The desserts are good as well. Big Moe’s Diner
