Sophomores

This is the year that you need to be stepping up and taking

more leadership roles. This is crucial in building strong

college and scholarship applications.

Registration for next year will be here before you know it! It’s

time to start planning for the path you will take. I

encourage all of you to continue the hard work you have started

with IB and continue into your junior and senior year. If you are

choosing a different path, please contact your guidance

counselor for information on that path.

Juniors

There is no better time than now to plan! I recommend using

Cappex.com to start planning for college and

scholarships! They include “Chances to Get In, College Fit

Score, Scholarships, Reviews, and more!”

Freshmen

Your GPA this year matters! Keep up with all work and be

diligent. It is also important to start building relationships

with teachers, administration and other adult leaders in your

lives. They will be helpful when you need recommendations for

scholarships and colleges!

Be kind to your peers and teachers. Building character is an

important skill to hone as early as possible! Positive words

and tones accomplish far more than unkind complaints. Voice

your concerns respectfully and professionally.
