It starts at Lake Taupo and ends out in to the Tasman sea . It has nine bridges a cross it . It has the Taupo gates , Ohaki bridge, Ohakuri tailrace , Whakamaru tailrace, Waipapa trailrace , narrows bridge , Hamltion city , Horotiu bridge , Huntly bridge , Mercer bridge , Tuakau bridge and Port Waikato.

Aotearoa . The river is 425 km long in length . The Waikato river is about one qruter of the

north island. The river starts at lake Tuapo and ends at

port Waikato into the Tasman sea .
