Engineered for the futureLiberty Powder Metals is a powder metals supplier and innovation incubator established by Liberty Steel - a fully integrated steel manufacturer and distributor – and supported by the Tees Valley Combined Authority.
The company is a part of the global metal trading and industrials group Liberty House Group who are a member of the GFG Alliance. We are a growing enterprise providing a wide range of vacuum induction gas atomised powder metals and services.
Our goal is to supply a broad spectrum of high quality steel and nickel-based alloy powders, with bespoke chemistries to enhance properties where required.
Our powders are designed to deliver the best results for our customers whichever powder application they may choose; be it metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) or net shape Powder Metallurgy Hot Isostatic Pressing (PM HIP).
We work closely with our customers alongside which we have developed a network comprising of Universities, Research Organisations, Catapult Centres, Powder Traders, and OEMs across the UK and Europe.

Vacuum Induction Melting 10-250kg batch size with potential capacity of 400 tonnes per annum.
Atomisation Close-coupled inert gas atomisation producing powder up to 150μm. Our atomiser is equipped with an anti-satellite system which enables us to produce highly spherical powder with very few satellites.
This enables our products to exhibit better flowability compared to standard gas-atomised powders.
Powder Processing Flexible powder sieving set-up to provide particle size sizing from 15μm-150μm suitable for a variety of high value powder applications, with all handling, sieving, blending, sampling and packaging carried out under inert atmospheres to minimise oxygen pick-up.
Powder Characterisation Suite of standard powder analysis techniques to provide particle size distribution, Hall/Carney flow, density, and powder chemistry.
