Librarians In The Post-Digital Information Era: Reclaiming Our Rights and Responsibilities

...or, calling for an end to

deer in Stockholm

Jenica Rogers, Director of Libraries and Archives, SUNY Potsdam The Charleston Conference, November 7, 2013

“It’s how the system works.”

We are BETTER than the

status quo.And deer dazed by

headlights have a very

short life expectancy

so the system needs to work better.

it’s time to reclaim our rights.

respect

transparency

free markets

fair and appropriate pricing

public speech

But rights aren’t free.

reframe our assumptions

know our boundaries

stop agreeing to

abuse

pay

attention

use our

voices

take action

We are more.

Thank you.
