RESEARCH INSTRUCTION FOR STUDENTS Library faculty members
are available to teach your students how to find research, and what to do once they find materials.
We are here to help. Some classes lend
themselves to hands-on training.
Library anxiety interferes with the research process.
LIBRARY VISITS FOR STUDENTS Helm-Cravens Library has
three hands-on classrooms, including a new state-of-the-art lab with 29 computers.
Students can work on research with the librarian as a “guide.”
On-site instruction is also available in the Educational Resources Center, the Special Collections Library, and on the regional campuses in Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox, Glasgow, and Owensboro.
Bringing students to the library is important.
FLIP THE CLASSROOM! Have your
students view our research tutorials before they come.
Use our audio tour podcast to help students find their way around the library.
RESEARCH ASSIGNMENTS IN YOUR CLASSES? WE CAN HELP! Subject Specialists can help you
design research assignments and projects.
Formative assessments—Did students learn from library instruction sessions?
Library quizzes, pre-test/post-test, source evaluation exercises, etc.
Term papers, research diaries, market research, evidence-based healthcare, etc.
