It’s Licence To Play’s mission to bring Playful- ness & Playful Learning into Organizations World Wide. Licence To Play© is an innovative concept that identifies and engages your (5-10%) cul- tural change talents to make the needed diffe- rence from within, using the power of play. Why Play? Playfulness is something that we all are born with, it’s in our nature to play. Play is the fastest way to uplift energy, enabling successful change towards more; Openness, Connectedness, Collaboration, Creativity, Risk-taking and Speedlearning. Unfortunately Play is also something that people fear to express in their serious working- environment. Therefore the concept ‘Licence to Play’ is designed so that it allows people in organizations to open up, be playful and facilitate their co-workers to do the same. They literally get a ‘Licence to Play’, signed by the company director. With this licence they will be assigned to perform (secret) play missions and facilitate powerful speedlearning activities on relevant topics within their team. The licence can also be used as a ‘wildcard’ to get serious attention in the boardroom to present innovative ideas to help the organiza- tion forward. Example Secret Play Mission

ProgramAll LTP programs start with a one day work-shop Dare to Play to create openness,engagement with the program and letting go of inhibitions about being Playful. Participants receive their Licence to Play badge, signed by the company director, at the end of this day, showing commitment and back-up.

Following playful learning modules aretailormade to meet the desired change- and learningobjectives. The participants will be trained to facilitate powerful speedlearning activities with their colleagues on different topics.

Online support (3 months)Secret online learning group where playful change talents share, learn & create.a. Weekly Secret Play Mission to stimulate trying different categories of play in a fun and safe learningenvironment.b. Weekly Playful Learning Mission to invite colleagues into a short (5-30min.) speed learning activity. For this we are partners with Café Style Speed Training (UK).

ResultsIntegrated luxury resort Marina Bay Sands Sin-gapore (8000 employees) ranked #140 on Trip Advisor, an online customer review site (2011). One year after enrolling 200 employees in our Playful Learning Joy-Care Program, focusing on raising Employee Happiness, their ranking went up to #35. Some participants took the initiative of organizing a playful groupdance with 200 colleagues to delight themselves and their guests.Research from Dr. Kim Cameron (University of Michigan) has shown that positive energizing leaders increase team performance by a factor of four.

Working togetherIntake with board of directors to learn about current and future challenges and desired change objectives > Creating & Presenting specific LTP Proposal > Agreement.

IdentifyWe can identify the potential (5-10%) cultural change talents in ANY size organization in as little as 1 day! For this we use a validated on-line (5 min.) visual assessment, developed by Prof. Dr. David Scheffer. Only employees with specific personality profiles will be invited to take part in the next step.

SelectFrom groups of max. 100, we will assess and select the top (30-40) cultural change talents in a one day playful Innovation Challenge. The selected group will be invited to participate in the Licence to Play Program, where they will be trained to strengthen their natural andimplicit talent for making change happen. We believe this personality-related changeapproach as opposed to a function-related change approach is what makes this program unique and successful.
