Everything we do at Noble is focused on one goal; helping the people we serve live the best life possible. Since our founding 64 years ago, we have seen first-hand, time and again, how critical to the fulfillment of those dreams it is for people to have every opportunity to fully participate in our community.

That is why our “Dream it. Live it.” slogan means reaching far beyond the home, school, or any other sheltered environment. It encompasses the vast richness of our world, and is found when each person’s life is comprised of opportunities that make them happy, enhance their skills, and boost their independence. Noble’s mission of supporting the 2,400+ children and adults we serve each year strengthens our community with their talent and contributions.

This year, we are particularly proud to note that approximately 95% of all services we provide are now community based. When you consider that not so long ago most services were provided at Noble’s facilities, we can celebrate how far we have come as both an organization and as a community. We are also proud to report that we now serve hundreds of infants and toddlers with developmental delays with the addition of Kids Only to the Noble family this past fiscal year.

Each person served by Noble has a story to tell. You will find many stories of inspiration at mynoblelife.org, on our social media @MyNobleLife, and through the individuals highlighted in this Annual Report. Together with our donors, community partners, and staff, we are strengthening our community @MyNobleLife.

The state saves $4–$7 in Special Education costs for every $1 spent in Early Intervention services over a three-year period.

Born at 28 weeks and weighing less than two pounds, Joriah

has been hooked up to almost every type of neonatal medical

equipment available just to keep her alive. However, those

months in the hospital are fading away like the devices she

needed to breathe, eat and receive medication. Now, her

physical, speech and occupational therapists—like family,

according to mother Naffie—have her learning how to sit up,

pull to a stand and babble a few words as she approaches

her second birthday. Naffie has one goal for Joriah: “I never

want her to be held back.”

Noble provided over 12,400 hours of Music, Recreational and Behavioral therapies last year.

Technology is spurring a wonderful statistic higher: a growing

number of young men and women with autism are heading

to college. And just as they have left their textbooks behind

for digital versions, any support they need is often virtual too.

As a student at Midwest Academy in Carmel, Ben and Noble

Behavioral Clinician Patrick Jamison would meet regularly.

Now that Ben’s pursuing a degree at the College of Music

Technology in Los Angeles, he and Patrick rely on Skype to

connect. His goal is to tell his story with his guitar.

People working through Community Employment collectively earn $2 million each year.

Kelsey’s favorite song, “Wherever You Will Go” by Alex Band,

reflects her journey since graduating from Noble Project SEARCH

in 2014 and the goals she has set for herself. The immersive

internship experience based at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital

equipped Kelsey and her classmates with the skills to transition

from the classroom to the workforce. For Kelsey, that meant

landing a job at Trader Joe’s through Community Employment,

giving motivational speeches to audiences around the state,

and dreaming of traveling around the world.
