What Is The Cacao “Mayan Cacao Elixir”? 134
The cacao deva (the consciousness / spirit behind the form) directs the founder to the available 135 cacao beans that have a good balance of ingredients and energies for the ceremony. 136
We use Guatemalan wild–harvested native raw cacao, often directly from the producers. 137 o Contemporary commercial chocolate processing removes the compounds that alter 138
consciousness, removes most of the bioflavonoids / antioxidants of scientific notoriety, 139 and removes most of what increases blood–flow to the brain more than 30%. 140
o Even so, the mass–consciousness knows that chocolate should open the heart 141 (chocolate hearts on Valentine’s Day?). 142
o In ancient Indigenous poetic language, chocolate was called ‘heart blood’. Isn’t that 143 which flows through the heart… love? 144
Chili Or Black Pepper Herb– As A Spiritual Accelerant. 145 o Reportedly these herbs alter or change a long-standing condition by aiding the 146
elimination of metabolic toxins. 147 o Gradually facilitates a beneficial change in the body. 148 o Also known as "blood cleansers' in the past, these herbs improve lymphatic circulation, 149
boost immunity, and help clear chronic conditions of the skin. 150 o These herbs also heal sores, boils, tumors, cancers; reduces fevers; detoxifies the liver, 151
kills parasites and worms; helps in the treatment of infectious, contagious diseases and 152 epidemics, flu, acne herpes, and venereal disease. 153
What Is Cacao? 154
This is raw, organic chocolate! There is fantastic hope for chocoholics everywhere! You can turn 155 cravings for cooked chocolate into super-nutrition. All chocolate is made from the cacao bean! 156 Normally, one could peel cacao beans before eating them. 157
The raw cacao bean is one of nature's most fantastic superfoods due to its wide array of unique 158 properties, many of which are destroyed or corrupted by cooking. 159
People always ask me what i eat. Raw, organic cacao beans are the primary food in my diet. 160 They have inspired me to eat less and live more. Cacao beans are truly the food of the gods, the 161 best food ever!" -- David Wolfe, author of eating for beauty, the sunfood diet success system 162 and others 163
Cacao is the seed of a fruit of an amazonian tree that was brought to central america during or 164 before the time of the Olmecs. Cacao beans were so revered by the Mayans and Aztecs that 165 they used them as money! 166
In 1753 Carl von Linnaeus, the 18th-century swedish scientist, thought that cacao was so 167 important that he named the genus and species of this tree himself. He named this tree: 168 theobroma cacao, which literally means "cacao, the food of the gods." 169
Cacao beans contain no sugar and between 12% and 50% fat depending on variety and growth 170 conditions. In general cacao beans are around 40% fat content (low compared to other nuts). 171 There is no evidence to implicate cacao bean consumption with obesity. 172
Magnesium 173 o Cacao is remarkably rich in magnesium. 174 o Cacao seems to be the #1 source of magnesium of any food. This is likely the primary 175
reason women crave chocolate during the menstrual period. Magnesium balances brain 176 chemistry, builds strong bones, and is associated with more happiness. Magnesium is 177
8:

8
the most deficient major mineral on the standard american diet (sad); over 80% of 178 americans are chronically deficient in magnesium! 179
Stimulant Or Superfood? 180 o Cacao contains subtle amounts of caffeine and theobromine. However, experiments 181
have shown that these stimulants are far different when consumed raw than cooked. 182 o Consider the following: experimental provings of chocolate by homeopaths indicate its 183
stimulating effect when cooked. One experiment conducted with a decoction of roasted 184 ground cacao beans in boiling water produced an excitement of the nervous system 185 similar to that caused by black coffee, an excited state of circulation, and an accelerated 186 pulse. Interestingly, when the same decoction was made with raw, unroasted beans 187 neither effect was noticeable, leading the provers to conclude that the physiological 188 changes were caused by aromatic substances released during roasting. 189
MAO Inhibitors 190 o Cacao seems to diminish appetite, probably due to its monoamine oxidase enzyme 191
inhibitors (mao inhibitors) - these are different from digestive enzyme inhibitors found 192 in most nuts and seeds. These rare mao inhibitors actually produce favorable results 193 when consumed by allowing more serotonin and other neurotransmitters to circulate in 194 the brain. According to dr. Gabriel cousens, mao inhibitors facilitate youthening and 195 rejuvenation. 196
Phenylethylamine (PEA) 197 o Phenylethylamine (pea) is found in chocolate. Pea is an adrenal-related chemical that is 198
also created within the brain and released when we are in love. This is one of the 199 reasons why love and chocolate have a deep correlation. Pea also plays a role in 200 increasing focus and alertness. 201
Anandamide (The Bliss Chemical) 202 o A neurotransmitter called anandamide, has been isolated in cacao. Anandamide is also 203
produced naturally in the brain. Anandamide is known as "the bliss chemical" because it 204 is released while we are feeling great. Cacao contains enzyme inhibitors that decrease 205 our bodies' ability to breakdown anandamide. This means that natural anandamide 206 and/or cacao anandamide may stick around longer, making us feel good longer, when 207 we eat cacao. 208
Allergies? 209 o A recent study showed that only one out of 500 people who thought they were allergic 210
to chocolate actually tested positive. Allergies to chocolate are quite rare. It is typically 211 the case that the person is in fact allergic to milk and dairy products. 212
Important Precautions 213
Heart conditions: cacao increases heart rate and is a vasodilator. 214
Participants on or just off chemo or other pharmaceutical toxicity will want to go easy on 215 the cacao during the ceremony until you know how it affects you. 216
Many antidepressants do not mix with the cacao tryptophan and mao inhibitors in this 217 cacao–please check your medication. 218
Those in need of a good dietary detox may find the liver stimulation and detox of this much 219 bitterness produces a headache and/or nausea 5 to 6 hours later… for which drink lots of 220 water. 221
