Before you ever say an
unkind word…
Think of
someone who can't speak
Before you complain about the T.V. show you missed…
Think of a blind person who has never seen a television
Before you make faces about how bad your food tastes …
Think of someone who is eating off the ground
Before you argue with your spouse …
Think of someone who's waiting on GOD for a spouse
Before you tell your child: “I wish you were never born…”
God allowed you to be born even though He knew your sins would cause His Son to die
Before you loose your mind about your dirty house …
Think of all those living on the street
Before you catch a heart attack about your broken refrigerator …
Think of all those who have never tasted cold juice
Stop whining about the distance you drive …
Think of someone who walks the same distance
And when you get tired of your job …
Think of the disabled and all those who wish they had your job
The next time you complain about your flight departing late- Think of someone who never stepped inside of an airplane
You are about to spend all your earnings in renovating your kitchen, bathroom and living room …
While someone’s home has just been burned
Before you abort that undelivered child who is a gift from heaven …
Be mindful that many are crying out to God for a child
How blessed is your family van for you have nevertaken an elderly person to the supermarket,
nor driven your sick neighbor to the hospital ?
You are destroying your liver little by little—While someone is on the waiting list for that same liver
Before you feel the “want” to shop for new clothes …
Have you clothed a homeless person who has been facing many cold days without a coat, socks, and shoes?
Before you throw away your old mattress—donate it to a person who is sleeping on bare floors
Before you curse back at the next driver who cuts you off—Pray so God can change your reaction to aggressive drivers
Before you demand a pay raise-Think of someone who volunteers his or her time to treat others
Please do not destroy that sofa before you place it on the sidewalk — the garbage truck driver may be in need of it !
Do you feel like getting rid of that tall tree in your backyard?
Think about those who may use it to cook their next meal …
While you are twisting the knob of your gas or electric powered stove
Are you getting tired of writing and signing checks?
Think of the individual who is unable to spell and write his own name even though he has all of his fingers
Why worry about your loved one who is in jail ?
It is in a prison cell that God may have the greatest encounter with the greatest sinner
Before you have one more hateful thought towards the Caucasian, African, Chinese, Japanese,
Iranian, Iraqi, Indian, Vietnamese, Portuguese etc. Remember that the blood of Jesus was shed for them as well
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down …
Psalm 25:14-18 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.
Put your faith in the Almighty and find comfort in His Holy Word
While many are in the grave awaiting Judgment Day
Put a smile on your face and praise GOD you're alive and well
…He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our
iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by
his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each
of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the
iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open
his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
Isaiah 53:5-7
Before you complain about life once more - Think of the Giver of life who suffered the greatest agony
So that humanity can bypass the Father’s Wrath
Are you still complaining about your life ?
“ I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little
children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3
