Financial results for the year ended 31 december 2012

The Board of Directors in its meeting held on 25 January

2013 at Karachi has approved the audited 2 financial statements of the Company and the Group for the year ended 31 December 2012.

The group results comprise of Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited (Company) and Lotte Powergen (Pvt) Lim-ited, a wholly owned subsidiary of

the Company.a

Lotte PPTA’s much-awaited, final edi-tion of the 2012 newsletter is here.

The passing year has yet again been a re-markable year of achievements, recogni-tion and success. The highlight of the year was the successful commissioning of the Lotte Co-Generation power plant, with honorable mentions for OHSAS and ISO 18001 certification, and the successful completion of 40 million man hours with-out LTC.

Our CSR efforts were taken to a next level where we saw maximum employee participation in the “community well-ness” month, where a series of activities were carried out, all focusing on the well-being of the community that we operate in. Apart from this, we also continued our partnership with FESF, KUFF and WWF.

For the second year in succession, the learning year extravaganza was also orga-nized for the employees of the Company. This is a clear indication of Lotte PPTA’s commitment to promote a learning cul-ture within the organization.

With this we conclude 2012 and enter 2013 with the hope that we continue to build on our achievements and success.

Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited was awarded

the 9th Annual Environ-ment Excellence Award on 12th July 2012 at an auspicious award cer-emony organized by the National Forum for En-vironment and Health (NFEH). Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited was named second among 175 re-nowned companies com-peting for the award. The evaluation was carried out by an independent panel of the NFEH gov-erning body.

The ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel, Karachi. Mr. Tariq Mehdi, HSE and Technical Training Manager accepted this prestigious award on Lotte PPTA’s be-half. Mr. Qamar Haris Manzoor, Mr. Jung Neon Kim, Mr. Oh Hu Lim and Mr. Eun Pyo Hong were also present on that occasion.

Mr. Shaikh Muhammad Afzal, Minister for Environment, Government of Sindh was the Chief Guest while the guests of honor were Mr. Rauf Siddiqui, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Government of Sindh, Mr. Javed Jabbar, Global VP, IUCN and Mr. Khalid Mehmood, President, WWF for Nature. Before the award distribution ceremony, Mr. Shaikh Muham-

mad Afzal and Mr. Javed Jabbar expressed their views on environment and the importance of its conservation.

Ministry of Industry and Commerce awarded an apprecia-tion certificate to Lotte PPTA, acknowledging the company’s efforts in environmental conservation.

This achievement is a result of Lotte’s commitment to maintaining best practices in environmental compliance, re-sulting in a better environment at the plant site. The company strongly believes that the 3R’s of Environment - Reduce, Re-cycle and Reuse - are essential for long term economic sustain-ability.

Mr. Tariq Mehdi (HSE & Tech-nical Training Manager) wa presented the award and certificate on behalf of Lotte PPTA by Mr. Mu-hammad Hussain Syed (Administrator Karachi). Mr Eun Pyo Hong was present on the occasion while senior represen-tatives of many other renowned com-panies were also present. Around eighty-six companies participated for this award, out of which twenty-four companies were recognized for their achievements.

The celebration program was com-menced with the recitation from `The Holy Quran` by Mr. Anwar Hussain (As-sistant Purchase Manager).

In his opening remarks, Mr Tariq Me-hdi (HSE & Technical Training Manager) lauded the clear and strong commitment

by the senior management in maintain-ing excellence in HSE standards.

Mr. Qamar H. Manzoor (GM Manu-facturing) talked about the exceptional safety record set by Lotte PPTA.

Mr. Mohammad Wasim (GM Opera-tions) highlighted that this achievement is practical evidence of the commit-ment of the employees & contractors

with HSE&S standards at Lotte-PPTA. He also talked about the background of HSE implementation and performance in organization is at its climax in spite of change of major shareholders at vari-ous times. He emphasized for the same commitment on HSE performance in the upcoming overhaul as well.

Mr. Asif Saad appreciated the efforts of the employees and contractors in helping achieve this world-class bench-mark. He explained how this significant achievement is a matter of pride for all Lotte PPTA employees and contractor staff for their continued commitment, positive attitude, adherence to safety rules and responsible approach towards HSE. He stressed on continued efforts in making Lotte PPTA a safe working place for our employees, contractors and visi-tors and raise HSE performance to the next level of excellence.

In the end certificates were distrib-uted to all contractors recognizing their efforts and contribution in achieving the millstone. Based upon evaluation on HSE performances, following contrac-tors were awarded with prizes/shields.

Two sessions were organized on ‘Building Beautiful Minds’ for Lotte PPTA employees on 8 November 2012 and

19 November 2012. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Nasser Aziz, who has been teaching/training at schools, colleges, universities and major corporations in Pakistan for the last two decades.

The purpose of these sessions, which was at-tended by 37 employees from various departments of Lotte PPTA, was to educate the participants on how

beautiful minds can help people achieve great results in their personal and professional life.

The sessions helped employees identify their poten-tial and define the role they can play in the betterment of society and success of organization.

HR department plans to hold a number of such sessions in the future to enhance the skills of Lotte

PPTA employees.a

Keep Learning!

Live as if you were to die tomorrow and Learn as if you were to live forever. Lotte PPTA employees believe in this and are always enthusiastic for any learning opportunity. To quote a Lotte PPTA employ-ee: “Life is a never ending school as we never stop learning each and every day”.

Lotte PPTA’s philosophy has always been to nurture and de-velop its employees, to offer them more challenging roles,

and ensure that every effort is made to enable them to achieve higher levels of success.

Last year, the Human Resource department organized a Learning Extravaganza, an event that proved to be hugely pop-

ular with the company. As a result, we re-visited the idea of another such event in 2012. Professional trainers were invited to conduct a series of sessions that pro-vided Lotte PPTA employees with new skills, management expertise, and gen-eral knowledge. The sessions were open to all employees, and each session war-ranted a huge audience.

The Extravaganza came to a conclu-sion with a session on Lotte’s Values, conducted at the DHA Creek Club. The

session turned into an official ending to the whole affair, with a cel-

ebratory High Tea following the event.

After attending last train-ing program of the Learn-

ing Extravaganza, employees shared their feedback about the

event; “The Lotte PPTA Learning Extrava-ganza has set its value amongst employees and we will wait for this event every year.”

The ‘Community Wellness Activities’ was an initiative taken by the senior

management of Lotte PPTA. A month long series of activities were planned un-der the supervision of Mr. Raja Waheed Ullah Khan which were whole heartedly supported by the HR and admin team

The purpose of planning such series of activities was to promote community service culture amongst the employees of the organization. The series of activi-ties arranged were as follows:

Following Health Awareness Pro-gram was delivered:

Juice competitions

This provided the Company with an opportunity to create awareness amongst the employees about the haz-ards of soft drinks on the human body.

Tug of War

A fun activity arranged for the em-ployees of Lotte PPTA to test their phys-ical strength and team work. All employ-ees and contractors participated in this

event with full sprit.

Cricket match

A cricket match was organized for the employees to promote outdoor physical activity. In total four teams from all the departments participated in this competition with the Engineering department emerging as the winners.

mangroves/ tree plantation at Port Qasim

Lotte PPTA supported this program for the concept of “Better Tomorrow”. Employees of Lotte PPTA voluntarily visited the Gharoo Creek High Water Coastal Area of Port Qasim region for plantations of mangroves and trees.

make A Wish, Pakistan

Make a Wish being a global NGO grants wishes of young children who are terminally ill. Lotte PPTA joined hands with the Make a Wish Foundation to help over 30 children wishes

come true.

visit to sos village

SOS Children's Village (Orphanage Malir Cantt,) provides permanent sup-port in form of health care, education and counseling to families. Lotte PPTA employee volunteers visited this village to spend time with these children

medical Camp

A Medical Camp was set-up at Mehmood Goth near Ghaghar Phattak by the Company. This area was selected due to lack of medical facilities available for the locals. Medical camp was set up by Lotte PPTA to provide free of cost check up for the locals. Medicines were also distributed to those in need.

Beach cleaning

A beach cleaning activity was ar-ranged at Hawks Bay, where all volun-

teer employees cleaned the beach.a

The prevailing law and order situation in Karachi continues to be a matter of concern for all. The menace of un stable

political situation, terrorist activities, targeted and ethnic killings, agitations combined with politically motivated violence and upsurge in criminal activity is affecting

the routine life of all adversely. At Lotte PPTA due importance is always given to the per-

sonal safety and security of staff. As part of security management program, security awareness sessions

were conducted at Plant as well as at City Office to make staff aware of vari-ous prevailing risks and way forward to mitigate and manage these. The sessions were conducted on 29 Nov and 21 Dec 2012 and were attended by all available staff. The sessions lasted for more than an hour at each location .

We all need to under-stand that security is a common sense and hence a common responsibility of all. Often staying safe and secure is a matter of choice and is therefore one's own decision.

With the passage of time, the use of lotus notes database has in-

creased tremendously in our organiza-tion. Its usage has been increased from an e-mail system to a level where users are now demanding more systems and applications. In the year 2012 various applications and systems were devel-oped and implemented, ranging from plant related systems to human resource related applications. Following is a brief introduction of the important systems and applications that were developed / modified during 2012:

Post-Training Feedback system

This system was developed for HR department. The staff attend a training session / course must fill out the post training feedback form. The feedback form is an auditable form and failure to complete these forms could result in a non-compliance issue. With the in-troduction of electronic version of the form, it has now become easy to gener-ate, send and keep track of these forms.

market research system

This system was developed for the Commercial department. The market research team was finding it difficult to consolidate their documents. With this system, all their documents now are in one place making it possible to manage and search them easily.

Plant modification system

This system has been running for quite some time. Over the years, this system evolved and matured. Last year, valuable changes were made in the sys-tem and now it is fully digitized up to step 6. The advantage is easy tracking & retrieval of a mod.; raising a query and its resolution.

eCm database

This system was developed to ensure that ECM members are notified of ECM related notifications. Moreover, it also provides them a place where they could find relevant documents and other ma-terial easily.

hr Library system

The HR department maintains an internal library. The books are regularly borrowed and returned by the readers. The problem with the manual system was that not all people were aware of books availability and its addition in the library. With the implementation of this system, the users can now read book’s profile, informed queued; informed about returning the book before its due date. Moreover, the librarian can eas-ily track each book that has been issued and manage other tasks easily.

Benefits Processing system

The system was developed for the HR department. It is being used to pro-cess car loan, house rent advance, and house building assistance. The advan-tage is quick processing and tracking of these benefits. Moreover, users can also view that in the past which benefits they have availed.

exit interview system

The system was developed for the HR department. The purpose of this sys-tem is to record reasons for employee resignation. The form is initiated by im-mediate supervisor and finally reviewed by the Chief Executive. With the imple-mentation of this system, the HR depart-ment would be better able to analyze the leaving reasons.

show Cause / demand database

This system was developed for the Finance department. The finance de-partment received various notices and demands from various govt. depart-ment / bodies. These notices are time bound and therefore, need to be replied within a certain time. With the develop-ment of the system, it would be easy for them to keep track of these notices and demands. Moreover, it would also help them to quickly search for a particular notice / demand and its reply along with the documentation sent to them.

Progress review report

As all of you are aware of the perfor-

mance appraisal system for the manage-ment and non-management employee. A similar system exists to evaluate the performance of management probation-ers and trainee employees. Earlier, the PRR of these categories of employees were paper based. With the introduc-tion of this system, their periodic prog-ress review reports can raise electroni-cally. This would essentially help the concerned manager and HR to keep track of their progress and performance.

hse database

A number of changes in the HSE da-tabase have been made. Notably, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 related pro-cedures, internal and external reports, manuals, audit schedules, etc. has been segregated and can now be viewed sepa-rately.

Performance Appraisal system

The development section of the performance appraisal system has re-vamped to make it more understandable and easy to enter the training and devel-opment needs of employees. The new format would also help the HR and train-ing departments to view the progress of the training and development needs mentioned in the appraisal system.

You may have noticed that last year HR and other departments were very keen to improve their old / manual sys-tems. All the requested systems have developed and implemented which re-sults in increase efficiency and reduce cost in terms of time and paper.

Therefore, we encourage other de-partments to come forward and share their ideas and feedback of IT systems that are being used. We consider this to be an important tool which will not only help identify our strengths but, more im-portantly, will allow us to focus on areas of improvement in existing systems and to develop and implement appropriate solutions which ultimately save time and cost to the company and allow us to pro-vide better service. So, let go of paper, embrace technology tools to automate systems.

As part of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebra-tions, Lotte Pakistan PTA staff

gathered for an Eid Milan Party on 24 August 2012. The party was at-tended by all staff members includ-

ing trainees, apprentices, contrac-tors and employees.

Lunch was hosted for all. Special arrangements were made for shift staff to partici-

pate in the celebrations.a

Keeping in view with the best governance practices, the com-

pany announced a new “Speak Up” program.

This speak up policy serves to provide a channel for the company’s staff to raise concerns, expose irreg-ularities and to help the company’s management identify financial mal-practices and potential fraud with-out any fear of reprisal or adverse consequences.

The Human Resource Depart-ment conducted a session to intro-duce this policy to the employees of the Company.

The first step towards success is the belief in success. This is what Abdus

Samad has tried to communicate through his book “Yes I Can”, which was pub-lished by LAMBERT Academic Publishing GmbH & Co. (LAP), Germany.

The book, at 88 pages, is about enriching self-moti-vation for success. As per the author, “Success is a choice - You can suc-ceed, if you believe you can”.

Through his book, Abdus Samad hopes to inspire others to make a difference in their lives. He high-lights eight elements that create a passion

to succeed, which are Know Yourself, Crush the Enemy Called Fear, Nothing is Impossible, Think Big and Innovative, There is Always a Choice, ‘Never Give Up’

Approach, Game without Ball and Disability is Lack of an Ability.

The book encourages its read-ers to appreciate minor success-es, recognize one’s hidden talents

and work to polish them. This book is available at Am-

helpful tools to counter the soaring expenditures incurred in the procure-ment of spares from OEMs. Utilizing this tool, a techno-commercial initiative was taken to develop the most costly spares of our high speed Sun-dyne Pumps and ETP centrifu-gal chiller through a credible supplier in South Korea. Owing to the criticality of these equip-ments, a comprehensive technical evaluation was carried out by the Engineering team to ensure that the quality is not compromised at any

stage of the development. Inducer, impeller, high

and low speed shafts of gearbox and journal bearings of idler and driven shaft were developed for Sundyne Pump while for ETP Centrifugal Chiller, impeller and high speed shaft were developed. This initiative

resulted in a net saving of PKR 4.67 Million. Bravo to the

Process Air Compressor (PAC) is one of the most critical pieces of equip-

ment installed at the plant. Its 20.5 MW synchronous motor is an engineering wonder and it has state-of-the-art con-trol, protection and starter systems. The expertise of such a complex system is not available in Pakistan.

In order to reduce the cost of spares and procurement, the Electrical team initiated to repair the cards and mod-ules of the PAC. The Electrical team approached the manufacturer of the Excitation unit and after thorough tech-nical and commercial discussions, OEM agreed to repair the unit and reprogram it as per the existing setup. For the re-pair, the unit was sent to France and was received after repairs. This repair has resulted in a cost saving of PKR 1.7 million approximately. On this techno-commercial initiative, good team work was displayed by Mr. Muhammad Bashir

and Mr. Nafees Ahmed from com-mercial and Mr. Abdus Samad from Engineering.

In addition to this, a measur-ing interface card of the Static Frequency Converter, which is a starter for the PAC motor, has been repaired in-house. Good efforts were put in by Mr. Abid Qayyum and Mr. Umar, Siemens Technician. The in-house repair

has resulted in a cost saving of around PKR 1 mil-

lion, which was only one advantage. The other prominent ad-vantage is the devel-

opment of the team for repairing these so-

phisticated cards in-house with-out OEM support.

As a commitment towards the timely commissioning of a power plant, Lotte

PPTA Power Gen’s electrical team showed remarkable self-reliance in commissioning Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) and DC chargers. Gutor Electronics, the ven-dor from whom this equipment was pur-chased, had declined to send engineers to Pakistan for security reasons.

Uninterrupted Power Supplies and DC Chargers are essential to electrical and control systems as they provide continu-

ous power to critical equipment. The unavail-ability of the vendor’s engineer at the most critical phase of commissioning would have resulted in delays. However, the genuine can-do attitude of Mr. Imranullah Khan and Mr. Mansoor Alam came to the rescue. They pro-

ceeded to commission the UPS and DC chargers themselves, proving that

the Projects team has the potential to get past all obstacles in order to meet a deadline.

The use of Project Management techniques has become an increasingly popular method for perform-ing a wide range of organizational tasks.

IT Analyst, Mr. Syed Arif Hussain conducted an hour long session on Project Management on 30 August 2012 at Plant site. The session provided participants with an insight on Project Management.

Whale Done – The Power of Positive relationship

Based on the book “Whale Done” by Ken Blanchard, Mr.

Muhammad Bashir, Assistant Manager Contracts, conducted the session on 27 September 2012 at City Office.

This session addressed the Power of Positive relationship through ‘Whale Done’ approach. This session focused on pro-moting positive customer relationships and to redirect energy in order to build trust.

Performance management

Training Coordinator, Shazia Sultana conducted an hour long session on Performance Management

on 19 July 2012 at City Office. During this session, Shazia shared her learning’s from the training which

she had attended earlier and discussed how to avoid sur-prises in the appraisal process. She also highlighted ways to deal with employees who give an average performance.

This session served as a refresher as similar in-house train-ing program had been arranged previously.

Power Automation: The Future of substations

due to changes in electrical network after commissioning of Gas Turbine, Instrument Air Compressor’s (C1-2902A)

supply was through utility during normal plant operation. Un-stable power supply from utility company resulted in frequent tripping, which could lead to mechanical damages on the com-pressor. Therefore, Electrical team took an initiative to shift power supply of IAC from utility supply to Gas Turbine, thus making the supply more reliable and stable.

The job was completed efficiently within agreed time frame during which motor power and control connections were mod-ified and motor protection relay was installed and tested. The job was carried out in-house and this proactive solution has prevented mechanical damages. Mr. Talha Mustafa, Mr. Syed Raza Anis, Mr. Kamran Khan and Mr. Hassan Kazmi provided a good support in the designing and execution phases.

With the commission-ing of Cogeneration

power plant, the concept of power automation has materialized in the form of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. SCADA system has been implemented for the first time in the history of LOTTE Pakistan PTA Lim-ited.

SCADA system provides a full range of features ac-cessible through the work-stations in Control Rooms of Cogen plant and PTA plant. Major functions of SCADA include monitoring of power generation and distri-bution network, controlling of circuit breakers, moni-toring of trips and alarms, changing-over between KESC and diesel generators for critical loads, synchronization of Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) with KESC grid, indicating alarms, re-cording events history, generating trends for electrical param-eters and health-monitoring of various equipment like UPS, DC chargers, distribution transformers and MV/LV switchgear.

SCADA system has a multi-layer architecture based on the IEC-61850 protocol for communication between Intelli-gent Electronic Devices (IEDs) in a substation. The backbone of SCADA is an extensive ring-topology based optical fiber data network, through which various substations and control rooms of LPPTA plant are interconnected. Being compatible with multi-vendor equipment over a standardized platform, protection relays from Schneider Electric and ABB have been seamlessly integrated with the core of SCADA i.e. ABB 800xA Industrial IT System. The system has redundancy on server, controller & network levels to minimize downtime. Multi-user environment with specific privileges prevents unauthorized access to the SCADA system.

The implementation of SCADA system was throughout a unique challenge right from the start of design phase till com-

missioning and testing. Operation and control philosophy of the new electrical network of Co-gen plant was vigorously tested and fine-tuned alongside with the design engineer from ABB Slo-vakia and commissioning engineers from Schnei-der Electric and ABB Pakistan. The dedication

and untiring efforts put in by the Projects E&I team were re-markable The E&I team was led by Mr. Farhad Jamil and com-prised of Faiza Owais, Hassan Shahid, Hassaan Ayaz and Im-ranullah Khan.

As awareness increases about the benefits of SCADA sys-tem, it is being adapted gradually by the Production teams of Cogen plant as well as PTA plant. Productivity will increase further with the increase in level of familiarization with the system. Time saving through minimized manual operations and centralized control of electrical network in critical conditions to ensure plant availability is perhaps the most obvious benefit of SCADA. Long term benefits will include ease in preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring equipment availability and reliability, which in turn translates into cost saving.

improved maintenance philosophies along with innovative approaches

have always been the conceit of our maintenance team; their latest exploit included a Boiler Main Steam Isolation Valve. A few months back, one of the two main steam isolation valves (6”, 1500lb gate valve) of Boiler ‘A’ was leaking ex-cessively from the pillars supporting the hand wheel, apparently due to a dam-aged body-bonnet gasket. Due to the unavailability of spares, the body-bonnet gasket was welded to contain the leak-age. The ultimate solution was either the

refurbishment of the existing valve or replacement with a spare dur-ing overhaul. Rising to the occa-sion, the area maintenance team found an identical but old, dis-carded valve in the yard area. Since the valve was already discarded, there was no guarantee of the valve’s internal condition. The team decided to reuse the valve body and replace the valve in-ternals with the original valve. Using a new repair kit to make the repairs, two 1500lb flanges were temporarily welded to the valve to conduct pressure testing,

which was successfully done up to a maximum of 80 barg. The valve is now ready for use and is being planned to be in-

stalled in 2013. The cost of a new valve

would have been around PKR 1.6 Mn while a repair kit was procured for PKR 0.4 Mn resulting in a net saving of PKR 1.2 Mn. Many thanks to the work-shop team for valve refurbishment and pressure testing.

Achievement of 100% Compliance in PnrA Annual Audit of sealed radiation sources at Lotte PPTA

There are 61 sources in-stalled throughout the

plant at various locations for level and density measurement. To ensure safe use of radia-tion sources, strict control and monitoring system is available at Lotte PPTA including regular inspection with radiation me-ters and monitoring of radiation dose level of selected workers by providing Thermo Lumines-cent Dosimetry (TLDs).

On basis of dose limit analy-sis set by Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), all necessary precau-tions are taken where applicable and Lotte PPTA’s strict standards ensure that all exposure is below limit values.

The installation and use and stor-age of radiation sources are with extreme caution and comply with the rules and regulations of the Govern-ment of Pakistan.

The PNRA team visited Lotte PPTA site on July 04, 2012 for an annual audit of installed radioac-tive sources to ensure compliance with pro-cedures, standards and the implementation of safe management of radiation sources. The team appreciated Lotte PPTA’s Radiation Safety Management

System and observed 100% compliance without any dis-

crepancy or observation. a

The Job Qualifying Program (JQP) is a program to develop

skilled and competent Opera-tors, Technicians, and Analysts in HSE&S and the defined job stan-

dards. This program also facilitates the employees

in attaining additional skills and knowledge and enables them to

perform their job safe-

ly, efficiently and more effectively.HSE & Technical Training de-

partment organized JQP examina-tions from 24th to 28th September 2012 for nominated candidates with the purpose to assess their acquired skills. The list of success-ful candidates has been issued and they will receive the merit awards and certificates soon.

reputable Universi-ties across Pakistan, Lotte PPTA orga-nized Trainee Engi-neer tests for Me-chanics & Electronics. These tests were held at Pak Naval College for Engineering & Technology, Karachi,

affiliated with NUST (National University of Science &Technol-ogy), on 7 August 2012.

Poetry is one of the most difficult ways to expresses our thoughts

and emotions. The poets have beautiful minds and sensitive hearts to join simple words to create a stunning rhyme. Lotte Pakistan PTA team is full of talented people and Abdul Jabbar is one of them. Jabbar discovered his talent many years ago when he wrote his first poem.

Dil main hai aftab sa chehraEk kushada kitab sa chehraHe was born in Rohri but spent most

of his life in Karachi with Lotte PPTA. He is currently employed in a technical position at the plant and is well known for his skills and experience in this role. The poetry is taken as a pas-sion by him and this passion urged him to go for a Mas-ters in Urdu

In his first book “Patton Kee Pazaib” he gave a new aesthetic sense to fallen leaves as a symbol of lost love. This book contains about 18 Poems, 68 Ghazals, Haiku and Ma-hiya. He has commendably articulated

softer side of love with bit-ter side of social unjust and other harsh facts of life. He also writes in Sindhi lan-guage fluently.

His friends at Lotte deeply appreciate his liter-ary work and wish him suc-cess in his future endeav-ors.

The special screening of the movie ‘Batman – The Dark Knight Rises’

was arranged for LOTTE PPTA employ-ees and their families at the Atrium Cinema. The screening of this much

anticipated movie was arranged within a few days of its release.

Employees and their families thoroughly enjoyed the movie and

expressed their desire to have more events like these in the near future.

Apprenticeships Training Program ensure that our workforce has the prac-tical skills and qualifications that organisation needs now and in the fu-

ture. The mixture of on and off job learning ensures they learn the skills that work best for our business.

Believing in that, LPPTA Technical Training Centre (TTC) orga-nized 03 months’ classroom training for the 18 newly inducted

apprentices with an aim to enhance skills, efficiency and safety knowledge of new apprentices.

Training was completed on 31 December 2012, and then all apprentices were handed over to their respected dept.

دلی معاونت حاصل تھی۔
