EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Deliverable 1.1: Dissemination Plan concerns the production of a detailed and comprehensive dissemination plan. Elements like media to be used for dissemination, identification of relevant dissemination events and target audience for dissemination purposes has been defined and included in this plan. The current deliverable outlines the target groups and identifies opportunities for the successful dissemination of the project both at a national (partner) as well as international level. It also offers information on the tools and methods used, as well as materials produced specifically for ADNATUR.

Apart from the theoretical information, the Dissemination Action Plan also provides tables of dissemination activities planned by each partner specifically. In this way, a variety of objectives are achieved such as exchange of information among the Consortium members and the avoidance of overlapping dissemination activities through the project’s duration.

The current Dissemination Plan safeguards the highest quality of the project as a whole, by ensuring uniform and detailed information to all partners while at the same time it becomes a practical reference point for all foreseen dissemination actions within the scope of ADNATUR.

0. INTRODUCTION

The dissemination of the project results is critical. The project, as well as its results, will be made public on a European level. The necessary information will be provided for the other institutions and bodies to be encouraged to transfer the project to their respective European regions. We’ll give much importance to the dissemination in Europe to facilitate understanding of results and extrapolation to all European countries. The dissemination will be carried out by all partners coordinated by AITEX.

AITEX and SERVYECO located in Spain and ENEA located in Italy will carry out different dissemination activities which will allow promoting and raising interest in the project results among the European audience an through its contacts with European bodies and networks. AITEX and SERVYECO will focus the dissemination activities to the textile and ceramic sector and has a lot of contact, associated companies and clients. ENEA will disseminate the project results in national and international trade fairs and in scientific publications Wide dissemination and results transfer on all the targeted audience (textile, ceramics and water sector, textile and ceramics research centres, universities and government…) which may use the project results to solve the wastewater treatment problems, quality of water and substitution of the inorganic coagulants by natural coagulant, environmental friendly, as well as the general public which has also concerns on this topic through the project website, conferences, participation in events suitable for showcasing ADNATUR results, formal presentation of ADNATUR results at key seminars and conferences related with the topic of the project.

1. DISSEMINATION STRATEGY

1.1. IDENTIFICATION OF OPPORTUNITIES AND TARGET GROUPS

Water institutions, textile, ceramics, coagulants producers, SMEs and industries, WWTPs with wastewater treatments no matter which sector they will be, Universities, local entities, chamber of commerce, local and regional agencies for the sustainable development, local and regional medias, Eurochambers, European lobbies, platforms and associations related to textile, water, and ceramics, European medias, universities, civil servants from European institutions, regional representations.

General public will be also addressed which has also concerns on this topic.

1.2. DEFINITION OF INSTRUMENTS AND MEDIA

Dissemination activities will be performed through various instruments and media. These will be carefully selected for facilitating collaboration among involved parties, i.e. bidirectional flow of knowledge and technology, promoting the project and its results in a unidirectional informative manner, providing targeted or generic

information and allowing the provision of feedback and suggestions / requirements raised by scientific and user communities. The main instruments and media which will be used fall within the following areas:

Reports, articles and press releases about the project and its results will be issued in some Scientific and technical articles in specialized magazines and in partner’s magazines. It is foreseen to develop some articles in specialized magazines as for example: Textile Research Journal, Water Research, Journal of Applied Microbiology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, etc. Some article will be also published in local, regional and national journals: Las Provincias, Madrid Industrial, Fashion Mag, Pinkermoda, Fedit, Noticiero textil, Interempresas.net.

The project and its results will be disseminated in important conferences and in all the seminars and conferences presented by all the project partners and also in TV National and Regional news.

o AITEX will disseminate ADNATUR project in the following conferences and fairs: TECHTEXTIL, HEIMTEXTIL, and AUTEX Conference.

o SERVYECO will disseminate the project in the following fairs: SMAGUA, IFAT, National Workshops attendance like Technology and Business Cooperation and National Congress of Legionella and Environmental Quality.

o KERABEN will disseminate the project in the following conferences and fairs: CEVISMA and CEVISMA dealing with ceramics sector.

o EGEVA will disseminate the project in SMAGUA and other fairs dealing with water sector

o ENEA will disseminate the project in important events like: Pollutec, ECOMONDO, Techtextile, ITMA, European Technology Platform, etc.

Notice boards and leaflets will be shown in these events as well. A final conference in Brussels will be organized by ENEA in which the results of the project will be disseminated.

Leaflets (more than 300 copies) will be printed in order to help the dissemination in the fairs and conferences. The leaflet, 2 pages printed or folder will include general information about the project.

A project website with an own logo managed by AITEX will be created in which relevant information of the project will be shown and used in all project documents and dissemination production. It will include a private area for partners and the Commission to access to private information of the project (technical l& financial reports, deliverables. etc.).

Every partner will include information about the project including the project and LIFE logo in their websites maintaining a link with the project web in order to permit more audience to share the results of the project.

Notice boards are going to be printed in order to be shown in partner’s headquarters including project and LIFE logo.

Dissemination in 15 fairs and Congresses related to Water, Textile, Environment and coagulants materials: Green Week (Belgium), Pollutec (Paris), ECOFIRA (Spain), ECOMONDO (Italy), Techtextil (Germany), ITMA country rotatory (Italy), ETP (Belgium), Smagua (Spain), Heimtextile (Germany). These networks inform their associates about innovations, activities, meeting fairs and other events to be invited to participate to do demonstrations and presentations. So we think it would be a good channel to disseminate the project results

Publication of a newsletter of the project periodically (1000 copies).

Project in social networks (Linkedin, Facebook). This is a new and more and more used way of disseminate projects.

At the end of the project it is thought to intend to prepare some divulgation material with the main conclusions. A CD-ROM, pen drive or Agenda (Spanish/English/Italian) will be used. We will use the Layman Report for producing all this dissemination material.

2. DISSEMINATION PLANS

2.1. GENERIC GUIDELINES

The following is a generic set of guidelines for the dissemination events and material:

Intentions to perform any primary dissemination activity are generally required to follow the approval procedure (described below), using the referenced tools (global mailing lists, etc.).

Partners should not initiate ADNATUR dissemination activities on topics that fall outside of their involvement in the project.

All publicly held activities should present their material in electronic form to the rest of the consortium

2.2. APPROVAL PROCEDURE

In order for a partner to complete a dissemination action, the partner must first announce the intention to the Project Coordinator and the Responsible of Action D who will then grant the partner the right to proceed. This should be done at least 2 weeks prior to the requested action to be taken. Unless an objection is raised, approval is obtained implicitly.

In order to foreseen the participation of partners in events, it has been created a template like this one in order to be filled with the foreseen events:

2.3. EVENTS PARTICIPATION

Once a partner receives information on an up-coming conference, workshop, etc., the concerned partner should inform the consortium of the upcoming event by sending an email to the mailing list. When presentations are made externally, the presentation should be sent to the consortium by email for comments and approval prior to the event.

Moreover, it has been created a template that each partner should fill after the dissemination event in order to better know more information about the activity done and the event.

2.4. PRESENTATIONS

Performing ADNATUR related presentations in various events is a task that might be carried out by every partner, for own exploitation and publicity.

The partner must comply with the following:

The presentation should indicate the ADNATUR logo

The presentation should identify the funding instrument of the project LIFE+ and the LIFE+ logo

Presentations should conform to the EU rules for publications

Existing presentations can (and should) be reused, after publicly notifying their creators and obtaining approval for any modifications

Non-public material should by no means be included in the presentation

Presentations should be made internally available to ADNATUR and uploaded in the website

A leaflet has been produced in order to be used in the events.

It has been also developed a special template presentation for the project in order to facilitate the partners to do the presentation.

2.5. PUBLICATIONS

The following guidelines apply to the project’s publications:

Publications must be announced to the consortium.

All partners that are being involved in the actual work that a publication is based on should be consulted prior to its announcement.

The rest of the partners that are involved in the work being presented should internally approve the published material.

Publications should conform to the EU rules for publications.

All publications should refer to ADNATUR project as their primary supporting action.

Partners should limit publications on work which is their main objective within ADNATUR unless otherwise approved by the project members.

Publications should explicitly respect the Common Provisions and the Consortium Agreement.

2.6. KEEPING THE WEBSITE UP-TO-DATE

Consortium members are the main source of information and the ones responsible for adding content. The structure and configuration of the website is modified upon recommendation by partners, or as needed by the Website Administrator for facilitating navigation and access to information.

All the templates are also available in the website for all partners.

2.7. CONFERENCES & WORKSHOPS

Conferences and workshops on thematic areas relevant to the projects are carefully tracked down and upon availability the consortium will generate papers and presentations to be sent to them.

ENEA considered the event as a valuable opportunity and an appropriate context for the presentation of the Adnatur project based on the development and the assessment of the suitability of new bio-based products using natural coagulants for wastewater treatments. The project well fit with the conference main topics since innovative technologies, research and biorefineries promoting the use of renewable resources for industrial purposes are at the heart of the bio-economy. In order to take part to the event ENEA proposed to the conference scientific committee an abstract titled “Assessment of the performance and the advantages related to the use of a novel bio-based coagulant in waste water primary treatments at industrial and urban level” describing the topics of the project, the objectives and results achieved during the several activities carried out. The work was accepted for an oral presentation within the main topic Industrial biotechnology, Session Wastewater treatment and

5. FINAL EVENT

The final ADNATUR event was held on Representatives from the textile and water

sector gathered in Brussels on the 15th of September 2016 in ENEA headquarters.

With this event, members from the ADNATUR consortium shared their findings and

experiences in the substitution of chemical coagulants by natural ones in physic-

chemical treatments of wastewater treatment at industrial and urban wastewater

treatment.

6. CONCLUSIONS

The dissemination plan aims at capturing and scheduling all dissemination relating activities of the project which will support the widening of the user base and will increase public awareness of the new possibilities that are arising from the ADNATUR demonstration project.

The dissemination plan assists ADNATUR project partners by defining communication goals, objectives and strategies with specified dissemination events to participate and dissemination activities to perform. The overall aim is to obtain a replication consistent with the objectives of the ADNATUR Project.
