Module 1 - The LifePrint™ Model
One cannot be successful in their personal life or career unless he/she takes
ownership for both. Unfortunately, many people leave both to chance. Too
many people don’t take an active role in their own career development and
believe it is the sole responsibility of their employer. This does not work. On the
other hand, there are also people who do take responsibility for their career but
have not considered all of the various elements of their personal life when
planning their career. This does not work either. Unfortunately, there are also
people who focus all of their attention on their personal life and ignore their
career development. This also does not work. The only thing that does work is
when the individual takes ownership for his/her development by integrating the
various elements of his/her life, developing a plan, and sharing this plan with
individuals who can help them.
In a recent poll quoted by Marcus Buckingham and conducted by the Gallup
Organization, only 12% of Americans said that most of their day is spent doing
things they enjoy.
This is bad news for employees and employers alike. However, there is good
news. The good news is you can become part of the 12% by creating and living
your own LifePrint™.
The objectives of the LifePrint to Living and Leading™ are to help identify,
“konnect,” and align an individual’s personal and professional passions and
motivators (LIVE) with his/her strengths(talents, skills and knowledge)
(INFLUENCE), and ultimately to his/her organization’s, family’s, and community’s
needs (FUN). It’s the area where these three intersect that an individual has the
greatest chance of achieving ExtraOrdinary Results in both his/her career and
his/her personal life (See page 10 for a description of ExtraOrdinary Results.)
Research has found that when people are engaged and excited about what they are doing productivity and effectiveness increase exponentially and individuals are much happier. Thus, we have to find a way to re-engage ourselves and create more opportunities to achieve ExtraOrdinary Results.

Achieving Extraordinary Results
Below is a graphic showing all three components of the LifePrint™ Model. As
previously noted, when all three intersect, that is when you will achieve
Extraordinary Results.
Two of the key components are all about the individual (LIVE & INFLUENCE). It
is the area where these two intersect that defines who you are, your uniqueness,
or as we like to say what makes you “ExtraOrdinary.” You have your “own”
distinct set of talents, skills and knowledge as well as passions, motivators,
values, etc. that drive you. It is very important to not only understand what
makes you “ExtraOrdinary” but be able to articulate what it means to you to
others (manager, coach, etc.). It should influence how you spend your time
whether it is at work and the type of projects/jobs/tasks/roles that you work on or
where you volunteer your time in the community and how you add the greatest
value to your family.
The obstacle for most individuals is in identifying the various elements within
each component and “konnecting” all three. Many people can figure out two of
the three but struggle to align all of them. The following four scenarios describe
what occurs when an individual is not properly aligned with the organization.
Copyright © 2014 The Faurote Group
5
Achieving Extraordinary Results
Scenario 1:
The individual has not identified or “konnected” with the key elements of the “LIVE”
component, does not understand his/her strengths (talents, skills and knowledge)
(INFLUENCE), nor does the individual understand how he/she fulfills a need within the
organization. The end result, if the individual has done nothing to take control of his/her
career, is he/she in danger of allowing himself/herself of becoming a victim which is
witnessed by chronic complaining, blaming others, unhappiness, low energy and
negativity (quadrant 4 of the EKG on page 7).
Scenario 2:
The individual has identified and “konnected” with the key elements of the LIVE
component and has identified his/her strengths (talents, skills, and knowledge)
(INFLUENCE); however, he/she is not currently in a role that is properly aligned with the
needs of the organization. The end result, if the “konnection” is not made with the
needs of the organization, is frustration. He/she will eventually quit and leave or, worse
yet, “quit and stay.” (Note: The overlap of the LIVE and INFLUENCE components are
what makes an individual ExtraOrdinary.

Achieving Extraordinary Results
Scenario 3:
The individual has identified and “konnected” with the key elements of the LIVE
component and has determined there is an organizational need; however, he/she
does not have all of the skills, knowledge or talents required to fulfill the
organizational need. The end result, if the employee does not recognize he/she
is lacking the appropriate skills, talents, and knowledge and does not have a
developmental plan to improve, he/she is limiting the opportunities for growth and
advancement and is hindering the organization in reaching its business
objectives. It is here where the individual needs to create a development plan to
close the gaps.
LifeValues™, LifeRoles™
LifeVision™, LifeGoals™
LifePurpose™
P - 6
Scenario 4:
The individual has identified the key elements of the LIVE component; however,
he/she is not currently engaged in the work that “konnects” to his/her passions
and motivators. The individual is very talented, skilled, and knowledgeable at
what he/she does and there is an organizational need, however, the individual
does not enjoy what he/she is doing. The end result is boredom, burn-out and
a half-hearted effort, which over time, if the “konnection” is not made, the
individual will quit and leave or, worse yet, “quit and stay” (see quadrants III and
IV of the EKG on page 7).

ExtraOrdinary Konnection Gauge (EKG)
One tool that can help an individual determine if he/she is achieving ExtraOrdinary Results, or is close to burn out and just going through the motions is the ExtraOrdinary Konnection Gauge™ (EKG) which measures your level of “konnectedness” and contribution to the organization. The concept behind the ExtraOrdinary Konnection Gauge™ is similar to an Echocardiogram, which measures the strength of your heart (the electrical activity and strength of your pulse).Whether it is a regular EKG or the Extraordinary Konnection Gauge, the goal is to have a strong heart beat and pulse. That’s to say, is your heart (passion) into what you are doing from a work and life perspective. Some are excited or have a strong pulse which is displayed with wavy lines while others are close to flat lining. Those close to flat-lining have very little or no excitement or passion in what they do day in and day out. We want our jobs (careers) to be exciting, reinvigorating, and challenging. We also want the opportunity to continually grow and develop. We want to know we are making a difference. When we experience these things in our jobs we are alive and have a strong pulse; however, if you are in a job where you are not experiencing these things on a regular basis, the odds are you are not having FUN and you are only going through the motions and collecting a paycheck. The EKG will help you understand how “konnected” or “diskonnected” you are, what you need to do to become more “konnected,” and how to avoid being “diskonnected.”
NOTE: As you can see in the illustration by the placement of the pyramid, the place most likely for ExtraOrdinary Results to occur is in QII. Typically, this is where you already have a high level of interest and motivation and you are playing to your strengths. This is where you are excited and are continually learning and growing.

Extraordinary Konnection Gauge (EKG)
Below is a brief description of each of the quadrants.
The key to achieving ExtraOrdinary Results over a sustained period of time is to consistently recycle between quadrants I and II. This ensures motivation and passion are always present and you are constantly finding opportunities to grow and develop.
QI
QII
QIII
QIV
You’ve been working on a task/project for a while and your Strengths (skills, talents, and knowledge) have been given a chance to develop. You are also aligned with your passion and motivators which makes things fun and exciting. “Konnection” is very strong.
You’ve been working on a task/project or in a role for a long period of time and have become efficient and effective. In the absence of new development opportunities, your interest begins to wane. Work becomes routine and your motivation declines and over time you strengths begin to diminish. If you don’t make some changes you will become bored and could easily slip into Quadrant IV and begin to “flat line.” Most people end up in quadrant III due to a lack of career planning and ownership.
You just started a new job/career, received a promotion, or received a new assignment. Your strengths need further development. You are aware of the expectations/requirements and are learning and growing. In addition you are excited to learn new things and are passionate about what you are doing which drives your motivation. “Konnection” is strong.
You might be in a job where you don’t have the right skills, talents, and knowledge and you are doing something you don’t enjoy; therefore, you are not motivated or passionate. You might have slipped into this quadrant because you were doing the same thing over and over without any new challenges or growth opportunities. If you are in this quadrant, it might be time to get the “Shock Paddles” out.

Module 2 LIVE: Highlight the “LIVE” Component
The first pyramid in the LifePrint™ Model is the “LIVE” component. It is the
foundation on which to build your life. All of the elements in the “LIVE”
component give meaning to who you are and why you do what you do. The
elements of the “LIVE” component include the following:
All of these elements must be clearly defined and ultimately integrated into
everything you do if you are going to achieve ExtraOrdinary Results in all areas
of life. Picture in your mind that each element is a building block and the overall
strength of the pyramid is dependent on each block; as a result, if you are
missing one block, it weakens the entire structure. In addition, the order in which
you lay the blocks is critical.
It is essential that you begin by identifying your LifePurpose™ because that is the
foundation from which everything else is built. It can be said that if you don’t to
discover your LifePurpose™, you’re likely to spend your life doing the wrong
things. “If you don’t know what you stand for, you will fall for anything.”
By spending time adding the remaining building blocks, you will be able to
identify your true priorities and make better, more informed decisions about work,
family, and how you spend your time in your community. It will direct you where
you should and should not spend your time. The “LIVE” component provides a
foundation for making moment-to-moment decisions.

12
Step 1: LifePurpose™
The first step in drafting your LifePrint™, and probably the most difficult, is to
discern your LifePurpose™. All of us are unique and have something special to
offer this world; however, many of us have not yet attempted to answer the “BIG”
question. Some of the most popular reasons (excuses) people give for not trying
to identify their LifePurpose™ are as follows:
“It’s too deep.” “I’m too busy.” “I’ll settle for what I have.” “I don’t think it will
make a difference.” “I’m stuck in the life I am living today.” “I don’t know
how.” ”I’m scared.”
The list goes on, and on, and on. They are all excuses. People are afraid to
stop and listen to the still small voice in their heart. They are afraid, in part,
because it might require some life changes, and, since a lot of us do not like
change, we ignore the voice until it is a faint whisper that is barely audible.
If you want to increase your chances of true happiness and making a difference
in this world, you must be willing and have the courage to take time to make the
greatest discovery of all – your LifePurpose™. Your LifePurpose™ provides you
with meaning, guidance and direction in life. It gives you the courage to take
action.
Defining your LifePurpose™ does not happen overnight. It is a process. If you
continue to ignore that still small voice in your heart, you give yourself no chance
of finding true happiness, meaning and fulfillment in your life.
The first thing you need to do to discover your LifePurpose™ is to set aside
some time just for you - a block of time where you have peace and quiet without
any interruptions or distractions (phone, e-mail, kids, friends, work, etc.) It should
be a time where you are free to think, reflect and focus. It is a time to help you
find that still small voice in your heart. In actuality, what you might find is that
voice might not be so small after all. It is a loud voice that has been screaming
for years and you just haven’t been listening.
There are a series of questions you need to answer and activities to complete to
begin to bring your life into focus. Some of the questions are painful to answer;
however, as we have all heard before “No pain. No gain.”
EXERCISE: Discovering your LifePurpose™

13
LifePurpose™ Reflections
The first activity is not only the most painful and difficult but the most powerful. It
requires you to write your own eulogy from two perspectives. If you were to
leave this world today, how would the people closest to you remember you?
What would be included in your eulogy? The second perspective focuses on
what you would want them to say.
LifePurpose™
1. If you were to leave this world today, how would the people closest to you
remember you (eulogy)? Write two to three sentences on what you think each person (spouse, children, parents, family, friends, co-workers, community, etc.) would say about you. Next, think about how you would want them to remember you and write it down. Are there any discrepancies? If so, this will help you realize some of the areas of your life that are out of alignment and require some attention. How You Would Be Remembered? How Do You Want to Be Remembered?

LifePurpose™ Statement
Use an action verb to describe your LifePurpose™ (speak, train, serve, create,
counsel, etc.).
Use a noun to describe who the action is for (the poor, my family, children,
etc.).
Include skills, talents, and knowledge that you will need and use.
Include the end-results or outcomes that you want.
Here are a couple examples to help you begin writing your LifePurpose™:
My LifePurpose™ is to help others reach their potential and succeed in the challenges of life.
My LifePurpose™ is to educate business people on the principles of leadership and provide them tools to implement better leadership practice in everyday life.

Step 2: Define Success
Success (Your definition…not society’s)
Step two in creating your LifePrint™ is to determine what is meant by the word
success. Consider the meaning of the word and write down your definition of
success below:
1. What is your definition of success?
_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________
2. Based on your definition of success, do you believe the people you interact with on a regular basis would reach the same conclusion based on your actions? Have you been living your definition of success or somebody else’s definition? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3. What have you ignored/avoided because society/family/friends did not view it as a “success” (job, volunteering, etc.)?
____________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________
4. If you have not been living your definition of success, what are you going to change (actions, beliefs, attitudes) from this day forward to begin building your life around your definition of success (be specific)? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

Step: 3 Identify Passions
Passions (discovering or rekonnecting)
The next element in the “LIVE” component of the LifePrint™ is to determine your passions (motivators and drivers). But what is passion. We describe it as follows: “It’s what fills your heart with energy and excitement. It’s what gets you going in the morning and keeps you awake at night thinking about it. It’s an inspiration to you and gives you the ability to positively influence others.” Passion is all about alignment of what‘s inside your heart and living it. It’s about identifying things you love doing. To truly discover your passions you need to take a step back from your life, reflect and listen to what’s in your heart, search the past, reflect on the present, and picture the future for signs as to what inspires and excites you. Don’t make the mistake in thinking that one passion must be pursued at the expense of all others. The secret is to understand which ones take the highest priority and then giving the right amount of attention to each one. Once you identify your passions, explore them for deeper meaning and determine how to make them a consistent part of your life. The following questions are designed to help you “rekonnect” with or discover your passions.
1. What types of activities are you doing when you lose all track of time (p-19)?

Identify Passions
Once you identify the types of things you are passionate about, it is important to
answer the following questions to make sure they are really a passion. Of
course, the more positive responses you have, the more likely it is that you have
discovered a passion.
Do you lose track of time when engaged in the activity?
Do you perform beyond your normal capabilities when engaged in it?
Is your energy level higher when engaged in it?
Do you get excited in anticipation of engaging in it?
Do you dream about the activity?
Is your enthusiasm for it consistent over time?
Do you feel more confident or empowered while engaged in it?
Do others notice you based on your involvement/performance in it?
Do you notice a change (positive) in your attitude before, during and after?
Do others rally around you or want to be involved with you in the activity?
Do you feel like you can make a difference?
Do you feel energized after engaging in it?
Do you have a sense of accomplishment after you have engaged in it?

Identify Career Orientations
Career Orientations an individuals’ enduring motives, values, and expectations regarding work and
career
One of the objectives of the LifePrint™ is to focus on your contributions both in
your personal and professional life. For each individual, passions exist on both
sides and it is important that you consider what you enjoy both at work and at
home or in your community. One tool that may help you identify with how to
make better choices to align with your motivators at work is called “Career
Orientations”.
Career Orientations is a concept developed by Brooklyn Derr as a result of over
30 years of research and studies. His research focused on what type of work/job
assignments motivate individuals in the work place. He identified five different
motivators - Career Orientations. These Career Orientations describe your
motivators at work.
To help you understand each of the five orientations a little better, assume that
someone you work for approached you with two different job opportunities and
conveys that you have no restrictions and may choose either one. How would
you choose? Based on Derr’s studies, individuals would choose based on which
career orientationthey valued most at that point in time in their life.
See exercise on pages 21 - 22 to help you identify your dominant Career Orientation.

21
Identify Career Orientations
On a scale from 1 - 5, with 5 being the most important, rank the Career Orientations in order of importance to you. It should be noted that you might be motivated by different Career Orientations at different points in your career. In addition, no one can be fully described by one orientation.
Advancement
They will choose the opportunity that gives them the most influence in how the job gets done. They want the opportunity to achieve the biggest impact (for themselves, their clients, their team, their organization), and they want the opportunity that allows them visibility and upward mobility.
Security
They will choose the opportunity that has the most commitment behind it. They also want the opportunity that has a lot of information so they can determine where it leads. They strive for recognition, job security, respect, and loyalty from the organization.
Challenge
They will choose the opportunity that is the most exciting. They want the one that no one else has done before - the one that offers them the chance to tackle new territory and apply their creativity. They like adventure and “cutting-edge” opportunities.
Freedom
They will choose the opportunity that offers them the most autonomy. They are looking for a place to apply their talent, knowledge, and skills in the most independent environment where they can maintain control over their own work.
Balance
They will choose the opportunity that has the best blend of work, personal relationships, and self-development. They want a chance to have an impact at work without overlooking what is going on outside of work. They also want the opportunity that fits their development needs.

you believe is your dominant orientation and least preferred and why? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

23
Step 4: Identify LifeValues™
The next step in creating your LifePrint™ is to identify, clarify, and prioritize your
LifeValues™. But, what are values? Values are defined by The American
Heritage Dictionary as “a principle, standard, or quality considered worthwhile or
desirable.” Value is derived from the word valor, which means strength.
LifeValues™ are our source of strength, because they give us the power to take
action. They are deep and emotional and are often difficult to change. We use
our LifeValues™ to attach meaning to things. As a result, our LifeValues™ often
drive our actions and choices. In order to set yourself on a path to truly “LIVE” it
is essential that you understand the things that you believe in – the things that
make you who you are today.
If you are not clear on your LifeValues™ and what they mean to you, you will not
have a solid foundation on which to build your life. LifeValues™ provide us with
a sense of direction, guidelines for everyday living, and criteria for making day-to-
day decisions.
Think about it for a moment. What guides your daily decisions? Are they deep
rooted values or are you making decisions on a whim? It is easy to get sideways
with our values. For many, it is easy to create a list of values and say “this is
what I believe in” and “these are important to me.” However, when we take a
step back and clarify the meaning behind the values we discover we are not truly
living the values we profess to be important to us.
As long as our actions are not consistent with our values, we will make poor
choices and feel unfulfilled. It isn’t until we challenge ourselves to be reflective
that we understand why we experience discontentment and a life that is out of
balance. Another important fact is you will never reach your potential if your
values don’t match those of your employer. So, if you want to find contentment,
achieve more balance (to spend time on your purpose), increase your sense of
fulfillment, reach your potential, and be “konnected” to your organization, your
family, and your community, you must identify, clarify and prioritize your values.
To get you started, consider what you would tell someone if they asked you to
describe yourself by sharing those things that you value the most. Also consider
the following questions: What is important to me? What am I willing to make a
stand for? What criteria do I use in the moment of “choice?” A sample list (not all
inclusive) of LifeValues™ is included on pages 24-25. Check those that you
believe apply to you.

Step 5: LifeVision™
LifeVision™
It is no coincidence that those individuals that have a vision of the future have a
better chance of achieving what they set out to accomplish. Therefore it is
absolutely essential that you create a vision for yourself that “konnects” all the
elements in the “LIVE” component of the LifePrint™ model.
It has been said if you don’t know where you are going you are lost. Yet, many
of us don’t know where we are going. We don’t have a vision for the future and
we let life happen to us instead of us making a life that matters.
Lewis Carroll wrote the following in his Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, 1861:
Unfortunately, too many of us are like Alice – no real vision for the future. As
result we let life “happen to us” instead of making a lot happen in our lives.
Alan Key, a famous scientist, once said, “The best way to predict the future is to
invent it.” The fact is, our lives should be and need to be more than just getting
“somewhere.” We need to determine where that “somewhere” is – we need to
invent it. To do that, we need to have a vision for our future. We need to have a
vision for the future.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?” said Alice
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where” – said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“So long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.

To start the process of creating your LifeVision™, consider the following
questions:
What would your life look like if it worked out really well?
How do you envision the next 2, 5, 10, 15 years (personal and
professionally)? Be specific– family, career, friends, health, where you
live, financial situation, etc.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Based on your thoughts to the above questions and considering the other
elements of the “LIVE” components of the LifePrint™ model, draft your
LifeVision™ in the space provided below.

Step 6: Identify LifeRoles™
LifeRoles ™
Step V in creating your LifePrint™ is very similar to step IV. You need to identify
the major roles and responsibilities in your life, clarify what each one means to
you and then prioritize them. This will help you determine where you need to
spend your time. What are your major roles and responsibilities? Have you given
this area of your life the attention it needs?
Refer to the list below for a sample of LifeRoles™. Please keep in mind the list is
not on all inclusive list. Don’t forget to include yourself as a separate and distinct
role from all the others. Research has shown that for us to be at our best we
need to continually renew ourselves in four major areas: physical, emotional,
spiritual, and mental. The simple fact is, if we don’t take care of ourselves, we
will not be effective in all other areas of our life.
Sample LifeRoles™
Son Student Difference Maker
Daughter CEO/CFO Entrepreneur
Mother Philanthropist Writer
Father President Lifelong Student
Friend Musician Brother
Leader Activist Sister

For each of the LifeRoles™ you identified on page 30, clarify (describe) what it
means to you and rank them in order of importance.
Once you identify your LifeRoles™ you need to review your LifeRoles™ on a
weekly basis (prior to the beginning of the week) and ask yourself the following
questions:
Which LifeRoles™ need my attention this week?
What will I do to fulfill those LifeRoles™?
How will I renew/re-energize myself spiritually, physically, mentally, and
emotionally?
After you answer these questions, make sure you get it on your calendar and
make it happen.

Module 3: INFLUENCE
The next major component of the LifePrint™ model is INFLUENCE. This
component focuses on identifying and understanding the elements that make up
your strengths and helps you determine “how-to” play to your strengths.
What is a strength? The standard workplace definition of a strength is as follows:
a strength is something you are good at; a special competency area or
experience base. While this definition has merit, it is too vague. I believe the
definition implies that because we are good at something it automatically means
we like it and enjoy doing it. The fact is something we are good at doing can
actually be a weakness. That is if you buy into the concept that weaknesses are
not just basic deficiencies in skills and knowledge areas that preclude an
individual from doing his/her job effectively but are also any activities (even if
you’re good at it) that bore you and drain you of your energy not only while
engaged in the activity but afterwards and just thinking about doing it. This is a
very important distinction to understand. It doesn’t matter how good you are
doing something if you are not excited and passionate about doing it (refer to the
ExtraOrdinary Konnection Gauge™ on pages 7 and 9). If you are good at
something but it bores you, you are firmly entrenched in quadrant III and close to
slipping into quadrant IV.
I’m not sure anybody has the perfect definition but I do believe that Marcus
Buckingham, author of the bestselling book, Go Put Your Strengths to Work, has
come the closest. In the simplest terms he has defined strengths as the things
you do, and more specifically, things you do consistently and near perfection
(assuming you are engaged and excited while doing it). In addition he states that
strengths such as these are made up of three separate ingredients: talents, skills
and knowledge. So what are talents, skills and knowledge?
Buckingham defines a talent as a recurring pattern of thought, feeling, or
behavior that can be productively applied – behaviors you find yourself doing
often. I agree with his definition and would also add that a talent is also a

35
INFLUENCE
person’s God-given natural abilities. You are born with your talents and they stay
with you.
Skills on the other hand are ‘the how-to’s" of a role. Skills are not innate. Skills
are learned and can be improved over time. They are capabilities that can be
transferred from one person to another. The best way to learn a skill is to
practice.
The third element is knowledge. Knowledge is what you are aware of – what you
know. Similar to a skill, knowledge is learned. There are two types of
knowledge: factual and experiential.
Factual knowledge represents the things you know. This type of knowledge is
based on facts and details. A lot of factual knowledge is gained through the
educational system, continuing education, and reading pertinent publications.
Experiential knowledge deals with on the job learning. Things you have learned
along the way – hands on. The point is there are two types of knowledge and
both are learned.
It is also important to understand your weaknesses. Whether it is something that
you’re good at and “weakens” you or something that has been identified as an
area needing improvement to meet basic expectations.
Pages 36 – 40 contain questions to help you better understand your strengths
and weaknesses and help you determine how to minimize weaknesses and put
your strengths to work.

Module 4: FUN
One of the keys to your overall success, happiness, and fulfillment hinges on
your ability to “konnect” the first two components of the LifePrint™ Model, to the
third component which is organizational, community and family needs. It was one
thing to identify and understood the major elements in the “LIVE” and
“INFLUENCE” but it means nothing if you do not integrate them into your daily
life. If you are able to identify the needs of your organization, community and
family and contribute to each one in a manner that serves them, that is when the
FUN begins. Unfortunately, most people do not equate work with fun. As a
matter of fact a lot of people think that work and fun are mutually exclusive. Do
not believe that for one minute because the moment you do you are giving up
control and become a victim. The control is in your hands. It is based on the
choices you make every day. You need to choose to have fun. If you are not
having fun at work, what do you think the impact is on your personal life and
professional career? Odds are you’re not having much fun in either area of your
life. You cannot afford to let that happen. The goal is to identify the needs in
those areas of your life and make sure you are filling those needs.
Pages 42 – 43 contain questions to help you identify the needs in your
organization, community and family.

Module 5: LifeGoals™
LifeGoals™
The last step of the LifePrint™ model is goal identification and goal setting
process. If done properly, the goal identification and goal setting process will help
you achieve more ExtraOrdinary Results. The goal setting process should be
“konnected” to the information obtained in the first four modules. Once there is a
strong “connection” made to the LifePrint™ model the goals become
LifeGoals™. LifeGoals™ must be translated into actionable plans with
deadlines. Otherwise, they are no more than dreams. They must be goals that
you believe in and want to achieve. Too often people set goals for the wrong
reasons. They have not thought them through and asked the question “why is it
a goal?” To be effective all of you your goals need to be specific, measurable,
attainable, realistic and time sensitive (deadline driven).
Pages 45 – 48 contain a goal writing exercise and questions to help you make
sure your LifeGoals™ are “konnected” to your LifePrint™.
