How do we see out of a Periscope?

When the light is admitted from the light source, it travels in a straight line

until it hits the object. Then the light bounces off the object and it hits themirror, then bounces off that into the

second mirror. Which then bounces off into your eye

How do we see?

Retina

The lens focus’sthe light onto theRetina which is coveredin light sensitive nerves which sendmessages to the brain. When the image appears it is upside down however your brain helpfully flipsthe image so we aren't constantly falling over.
