It was built in 1928 under the direction of the engineer Rafael Cerda . The tower has a frustum of a cone shape with two levels that are separated by a terrace. It was constructed with concrete, covered with gray cement. Height: 11 meters (36 feet) Light color: white Range: 6 nautical miles

It was built in 1.844 under the direction of the engineer Juan Faro.The tower has an hexagon like platform that narrows down from the shank to its frame. It´s there that it also has a small balcony and an octagon shaped lantern. The tower is made of stone and it´s embedded to a small building. Cape Ortegal Lighthouse

It was built in 1984 under the direction of the engineer Jaime Arrandiaga.The lighthouse has a cylindrical shaped with a diameter of 3 meters (9.8 feet) and a height of 12.70 meters (45.6 feet).It’s painted with broad white and red stipes. Its construction began in 1.854 under the direction of Alejandro de Olavarría, on slightly wrong location.It was finalized at the right place in 1.896 by the engineers Francisco Lizárraga and Adolfo Pequeño. The current lighthouse is an impressive hexagon shaped granite stone tower, crowned with a glass lantern.It´s Spain´s oldest electric lighthouse.

Cape Corrubedo Lighthouse

It was built in 1854 under the leadership of the engineer Celedonio de Uribe. The lighthouse building has a semicircular shape with ashlar stone tower at its center. The tower is 9.60 meters high (31.5 feet). The sea around this lighthouse has been considered to be one of the most dangerous because of the sharp rocks underneath the surface.Light colors: white and red.Range: 15 nautical miles.

2-The project was first designed by the engineer Joaquín Bellido. Towards the end of 1923 a new project was drawn by the engineer Mauro Seres modeled on Cape Vilán and Fisterra lighthouses.The building has got two floors with a tower on the west side, the whole covered with white glazed tiles, with the exception of two wide, red stripes at the center of the tower.Height: 30 meters (98, 4 feet)Light color: whiteRange: 24 nautical miles

It was built in 1853 and 1921 based on the designs by Martínez Campos-Mauro Serrer.It has a Ushaped building with and octagon shaped tower that’s embedded on the backside of the building.The structure is covered with glazed tile. Sisargas Islands LighthouseIt was built in 1853 under the direction of the engineer Celedonio de Uribe.The rectangular shaped building has a surface that´s 15 x 20 meters ( 49 x 65 )feet . On one of its walls , there is a wide ashlar tower .Height : 11 meters (36 feet) .Light color: white .Range : 23 nautical miles .

Cíes Island Lighthouse

It was built in 1853 under the leadership of Alejandro de Olovarría.

It includes a house with an ashlar stone towerthat´s divided in two levels. The lower one is

cylindrical.The cone shaped upper one is 10 meters high

(32.8 feet). The lighthouse is located 177 meters above sea level (580.7 feet).

Tower of Hercules

It was build by the Romans and later restored by the architect Eustaquio Giannini in 1791. Its platform has got a diameter of

37 meters (121 feet). The tower is divided in three sections.

Each wall of the tower has got two rows of windows ,which are separated by a stripe of

rock that spirals upward from its base . It’s the world’s oldest

lighthouse that still in use.Height: 49 meters (160 feet)

It was built in the year 1850, this Project was assigned to the engineer Felix Uhagón.It has a round ashlar stone tower, with a transparent dome, embedded on the backside of two story rectangular building.Estaca de Bares is the northern most point in the Iberian Peninsula.Height : 10 meters (32.8 feet)Light color: whiteRange: 25 nautical miles.

It was built in 1934.The cylindrical tower is made of ashlar stones and has a

frustum of a cone shape. It includes an external spiral stairway.

FROUXEIRA POINT LIGHTHOUSE.

This lighthouse is in Valdoviño Ferrol Galicia . The lighthouse was built in 1992 but it began operating two years later . Frouxeira point lighthouse is 30 metres tall and it´s square. It is an attraction for the tourists.

Cape Touriñan Lighthouse

The first lighthouse was built in 1898 under the direction of engineer Adolfo Pequeño.It was a square building,14 meters long(46 feet),with a roughly 8 meters high (26 feet) tower at the center. In 1981 a second with colored cylindrical tower was construted. It has a diameter of 3 meters(9.8feet) and is 14 meters ( 46 feet) high. Cape Touriñan marks the most western point of Galicia

Sanxenxo Harbour Lighthouse

It was opened in 2005 by king Juan Carlos I .

The lighthouse is located at the end of the breakwater. It was constructed in concrete , with cylindrical shape and painted with red and white stripes . At the top has a balcony with interior access .

MUSEO DO MAR DE GALICIA LIGHTHOUSE

It´s a cylindrical metal tube mounted on an ashlar stone

platform. It has a glass dome which is , in

reality ,just a gazebo, in a decorative lighthouse. It was inaugurated in 2002

inside the“Museo do Mar de Galicia “(Galicia

sea Museum)complex, designed by the architects Aldo Rossi and the Galician

César Portela.
