Dear Lighthouse Church Family,

These are unprecedented times in our nation and world. Unusual times are opportunities to express uncommon faith. We have been given a mission by our Lord Jesus Christ! We are empowered to change our world:

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:2, to “write the vision plainly so we can all run with it”. In the following pages you will see our vision for 2010. The vision is balanced and clear. We will, as the scriptures say, “do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith”. We will reach out locally and globally into our Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth!

What an exciting time! God could have set each of us in any community, but He saw fit to call us here. Our vision is clear! Would you pray, seek God and ask Him to direct you in your giving to “Vision: 2010”. Our goal as a church family is to increase our giving by $325,000 above our regular tithes and offerings. Please read the following pages, let the Holy Spirit open your eyes and touch your heart. God will give us whatever we are willing to take responsibility for. We are called to be a generous church with a passion for reaching out locally and globally. Let faith arise in your heart! The harvest is ripe. It’s time to advance while others are retreating.

We will fulfill all that God has called us to do!

Much Love,Pastor Daren & Tracy Laws

MISSIONS CONFERENCE

Ted met and married his wife, Sou while working for the U.S. Em-bassy in Laos during the Vietnam War. Though Ted has a back-ground in business and agriculture, they spent 12 years pastor-ing in Woodstock, Ill., before answering the call to the mission field. Foursquare ministry in Cambodia has rapidly grown under Ted’s leadership. Hundreds of churches have been planted, and thousands of orphans are being cared for. Ted is founder of Warm Blankets Orphan Care, a non-profit Christian mission dedicated to the rescue of orphans and widows through church planting and orphanage outreach.

In 1992 he joined the staff at the Church of Living Water in Olympia, WA. He is now senior pastor of East Valley Church in Orangevale, CA, which is known for its community outreaches, including several extreme makeovers to area schools. A group of our young adults ministers to the homeless on Skid Row in downtown Los An-geles. They take hope and encouragement, plus home-cooked meals, bottled water, and other necessities. By building authentic friendships and a great deal of prayer, their ministry is impacting lives.

THRIVE Youth’s mission is to prepare and lead generations of young peo-ple into their God-given purpose and promise. Bible teaching, prayer, small group relationships, local and distant mission teams, intentional training and weekly worship services are some of their activities and goals.

our Commitment

Page 19: Lighthousevision2010

This program outlines our Vision:2010 projects which were culled from the brainstorming sessions at our TeamLighthouse Summits and missions meetings this past summer. These two charts compare what people gave to Lighthouse Church in 2008 and what is needed in order to accomplish our projects in 2010. Our goal is to commit $325,000 to these efforts.

Please respond by considering what you will give — above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings — to VIsion:2010 projects. Complete and return your Commitment Card today.

Funds will be allocated to Vision:2010 projects by the Church Council based upon actual monies received.
