In This Course
Timeline: 45 minute video
Goals: Be able to identify lamp types and be able to discuss lighting technology using properterminology.
Objectives:1) We will be able to recall and define common lighting terms.
There are some common semantics that will be good for you to know to help youdialogue with customers and those in the industry.
2) We will be familiar with IES light levels reference material, and be able to use thatreference material in TAC Lighting Design approach.
3) We will be able to identify different lighting technologies and their characteristics.There are a few different families of lamps that we can place all lamps in. Knowing thetype of lamp youre dealing with will help you to know what quantity and quality oflight is being produced.
4) We will be able to recall and identify different retrofit technologies.As lighting accounts for approximately 30% of the energy used in America, it isimportant to understand retrofit strategies for helping our customers save energy.
5) We will recall what to look for to evaluate lighting retrofit opportunities in a customerfacility.
6) We will be able to quickly calculate lighting savings.
7) We will recall TAC lighting policies during real application.
