CHAUVET INTIMIDATOR SPOT LED 250 UNIT 65- M1

The chauvet intimidator spot led 250 moving head light is the ones that we use at Entertainment workshops, and are the lights that we use when we set up for a show.

SENERIO:You would use this moving head in live thetare, shows, gigs, etc. This is because it has a wide range colours and pan and tilt angles, so can create more of an effect.

COMPARRISON:I would use this over the minuette profile, as although it has gobos, the Chauvet can move and has various movements such as pan and tilt, so can create more of an effect.

the price of this is £115.

SENERIO:I would use this light for smaller acoustic gigs or for events to add a small wash off colour, to set a calm atmosphere.

COMPARRISON:I would use this over a flood light as the wash light, although isn't as strong as the flood light, it ha a wilder range of colours, and can be programmed to what you want, weather its changing or stuck on the same colour, where as the flood light is only one colour.

Studio duo city colour 2500

The most famous and world-wide appreciated CityColor, is completely produced in Italy. CityColor 2500 is a very powerful wash light fixture with an IP54 rate. Thanks to an extremely efficient optic system a powerful light beam can create numberless color shades, through the three filters which can make the best of any lightened object. Its performances, in terms of luminousity and lighted surfaces, can reach incredible levels. The CityColor can work in automatic mode or in synchro mode, otherwise may be controlled by 8 bit DMX controllers.Ideal to light up up outdoor and indoor big surfaces: theatres, discos, parks, town centres, castles, sport facilities and so on.Great help is given from the special option in the menu that shows the lamp life, by enabling the replacement of the bulb at the right time (after about 2500 hrs), and also by the counter, very useful especially to the services, to check the hours that the fixture has been working for.

SENERIO: I would use this light to light up buildings and objects outside as it has a strong light that can show up on buildings and is waterproof.

COMPASRRISON:I would use the city light over the nova light for lighting up building as the city gives of a wash of light, where as then nova is a light that only creates effects.http://www.studiodue.com/architectural-fixtures/lamp-fixtures/citycolor-2500-ip54.html

Nova light nova flower

UK – PRG Europe has invested in eight of the new Novalight Nova-Flower 2K flower effects for its rental stock, which have been supplied to the Birmingham and London, UK based company by Lightfactor Sales, Novalight’s exclusive UK distributor. The deal was completed between PRG’s Paul Weaver and Lightfactor’s Peter Coles. It builds on PRG’s previous purchases of Novalight High Grounds in 2006, for the Robbie Williams Close Encounters world tour, followed by their original 1.2K Nova-Flowers, supplied by Lightfactor in 2007.The Nova-Flower 2K offers all the features and functionality of the 1.2K version with substantially more power and punch, says the company.Nova-Flower is the first fully programmable moving yoke ‘flower effect’ with DMX controllable pan, tilt, colour and shutter, plus other standard features. It has CMY mixing, a rotating reflector (in both directions), pan/tilt and remote lamp re-strike.“The Nova-Flower concept has really moved the dynamic ‘dominator’ style effects luminaire along in terms of technology and usability,” says Weaver, “It’s a real multi-user instrument with huge flexibility”. He adds that with PRG’s 1.2K Nova-Flowers working so extensively on such a wide range of shows and events, the time was right to make the 2Ks available – as they know they will be spec’d on plenty of shows. In addition to being used on a plethora of tours, PRG’s Nova-Flowers have also become popular for visually engaging TV shows – making recent appearances on the Dancing on Ice, X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent TV series (LD Dave Davey) as well as the Dancing On Ice Live arena tour (LD Durham Marenghi).Lightfactor’s Peter Coles says: “It’s great that leading rental companies like PRG are investing in the Novalight brand and can see its potential. I am confident that the Nova-Flower 2K will follow the success of the 1.2K version and its counterpart, the 2,000W moving yoke High-Ground searchlight effect fixture as Novalight becomes increasingly established as a quality product with unique applications.”

SENERIO: I would use this light to light up buildings and objects outside as it has a strong light that can show up on buildings and is waterproof.

COMPASRRISON:I would use the nova light over the city light for showing effects onto a building, floor etc. as the nova is a light that is pacifically made for creating effects and patterns. http://omnisistem.com/products/nova-flower /

American DJ LED Par Can LightAmerican DJ Mega Par Profile ultra bright slim flat black par can with 108 10mm LEDs (26 red, 46 green and 36 blue LEDs). Smooth RGB colour mixing (fast or slow colour change operation) power and DMX ins/outs sit sideways so the unit can be set flat on the ground or set inside truss. Great as an architectural wall wash or for performance stages where traditional stage lighting emit a lot of heat onto performers. Auto mode 5 operational modes and sound active feature with built in programs. Colour strobe effect. Includes dual mounting brackets to hang on truss, mount on a wall or set on the ground. IEC AC input and output on rear to daisy chain power.

Stand alone or master/slave configuration32 built in colour macrosDmx-512 protocolLinkable via 3-pin xlr cableLong life leds (50000 hours)

SENERIO:I would use this light for smaller acoustic gigs or for events to add a small wash off colour, to set a calm atmosphere.

COMPARRISON:I would rather use an led parcan over a standard parcan as the ledparcan has power saving bulbs, and these also don’t heat up the outside of the parcan. Also there are a lot more you can do with LEDS as you have more colours, you don’t haveto cut gel, and you can programme the light to change colour without touching them.

SENERIO: You would use this type of light at a gig and focus it over a musician as its not specific so wouldn’t just be on the muscian but around them too to get the rest of the instruments (keyboard, drum kit, etc.)

COMPARRISON:I would use this over a spotlight as its not as accurate as the spotlight, so with this light you can light up areas rather than spasiffic spots.

Minuette profile (classic spolight)Condenser zoom profiles are ideal for projection work, as the zoom range between 30° to 48° allows the operator to match the projected image size of two units even when they are not able to be hung at equal distances from the screen or cyclorama. In all other respects this unit is similar to the Z0602P zoom condenser profile. The two lens zoom system is adjusted by the heat-resistant knobs under the front of the unit between. To give a "peaked" or "flat" beam, the lamp position is adjustable. The heat-resistant rear handle and the "T" shaped tilt locking handle give easy, cool control when adjusting the unit's position.

SENERIO:This could be used at almost any event, such as theatre productions, gigs, etc. This could be used to create a window shape as it has gobos', it has to be isolated point on the stage due to the nature of the light.

COMPARRISONS:I would use a group of profiles over a source four and a single profile as it would be over powered by the source four as it has a brighter light.

C.C.T. (Fresnel)Its soft-edged controllable beam is very even and well defined. The fresnel lens has been specially designed for the unit and is very efficient. The large beam angle range from 18 - 57 degrees, and the optional accessory of a rotatable four-leaf barn door, gives complete control of the beam shape. The beam angle is adjusted by a heat resistant knob under the unit. Sliding this toward the lens increases the beam angle - away from the lens reduces it. The heat resistant rear handle and the "T" shaped tilt locking handle give easy, cool control when adjusting the unit's position.

SENERIO:You can use this light at almost any event, you can use it as aside light as general cover.

COMPARRISON: I would use the C.C.T instead of P.C , as the C.C.T. blends in well with the background and the P.C. is very defined and will not blend in well.https://www.cctlighting.com/120/Minuette.html

Selecon

Selcon Rama 150 /6" Fresnel 7° - 50° 220-240V: 1000W/1200W An industry standard 1.0/1.2 kW Fresnel with a thomann 150mm / 6" lens. The adjustable cone of light has a soft edge, easily blended with adjacent beams to provide even illumination. The Rama 150mm / 6" Fresnel provides the performance required for saturated colour washes, strong key lights etc, at a cost thomann affordable to most. Specifications Beam angles: 7°-50° Lens diameter: 150mm / 6 Cable length: 1m / 3ft Lamp sockets: 220V-240V GX 9.5 (adjustable) or G22 120V P28 or G22 Colour frame size: 186mm x 190mm / 7 3/8 x 7 1/2 Note: All Ramas thomann will fit a US standard 7 1/2" colour frame Accessories: 4-door barndoor / lens safety mesh Weight: 5.3kg / 11lb 10oz Typical performance: Spot 7° - 165,600cd Field 14° Flood 50° - 17,640cd Field-61° Useful throw distances: 4-18m / 13-59ft Art.Nr. 146979 (T29 thomann 1200W) Art.Nr.146984 (CP70 1000W)

SENERIO:You could use this at a gig, theatre performance or live show, as it gives a wash from above, all around the room.COMPASRRISON:Instead of using the source four I would use the selecon as it the light can be manipulated and can create more of a wash of colour.http://www.stage-electrics.co.uk/shop/sales/lighting/lights-and-accessories/theatrical/fresnels/product.aspx?code=561-4871

SENERIO:1k lights are used as backlights, so they would be good in small music gigs, or if you were filming as they would give the object/ singer a 3D effect.

COMPARRISON:Instead of a par can I would use a 1k as the light is more defused and can make people stand out more if used as a back light.http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/679313-REG/Arri_571976_T1_Fresnel_1000W_3_Light.html

Flood light

SENERIO:The flood light will fill the entire room with a flood of light, so this would be good for effects in a gig or musical theatre production.

COMPARRISON:I would use the flood light instead of a LED wash light as although the LED is good, its not as powerful, and only gives you a wash of colour and the flood will be able to light the whole performance.
