http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/lincoln-avenue-bikeway-improvement 1/1
CDOT is proposing a striped buffer to be installed
on Lincoln Ave. from Wells St. to Armitage Ave.between the parking lane and the shared lanemarking. Currently there are traditional markedshared lanes on the roadway. Traditional marked
shared lanes will be maintained on Lincoln betweenCleveland Ave. and Larrabee St. Both treatmentswill be evaluated to understand the design’s impact
on rider positioning in the roadway.
Proposed Shared Lane Marking and Buffer - Wells St. to Armitage Ave.
• Shared lane marking will remain in the same location.
• Encourages motorists to park closer to curb.
• Encourages bicyclists to travel outside of the door zone
• No impact to parking.
• No impact to motor vehicle travel.
