She is also assessing the quality of facility-based maternal and newborn care in multiple countries in Africa and a multi-country research study to develop a diagnostic algorithm to be used by community health workers to identify postpartum sepsis among women in low resource communities. Dr. Bartlett’s interests encompass two main areas – assessing and improving the quality of obstetric care in facilities, and developing and testing interventions that can be used in community settings.
