Implanting of color (pigm ent) under the skin with a needle or needles by use of an electrical machine or a manual device to recreate or re-claim the definition to eyebrows, eyes, lips, scars and areola complex (colored portion of the breast) .

During the consultation patient information is gathered and analyzed.

Medications to be prescribed or discontinued are reviewed. Existing physical conditions are discussed.Details of the procedure and expectations are discussed.Skin test is administered. Post instructions are given to patient.

STERIL IZATION

Metal and plastic tubes that house the needle, along with needles are autoclaved (sterilized) before use.

SEL ECTION OF ANESTHESIA

After effective anesthesia has been administered the outline drawn on and approved by the patient is now implanted with the selected color. The exactness of the implantation is imperative for the perfect lip line.

APPL YING COL OR TO THE L IP

• Applying color to remaining skin tissue is the next step.

• The full lip color takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

• Six weeks later the second application of color is applied. Color adjustments are also addressed at this visit.

FINISHED FUL L L IP COL OR

• After the entire lip is saturated with pigment (color) , the excess color is cleaned from the skin.

• Photographs are taken and placed in the patient’ s file along with documentation of the procedure.

• Post procedure care instructions are reviewed with the patient.

EYEL INER

vascular allowing little margin for error.

• return visit in 6 weeks to fill in any missing areas.

The process is the sam e for

HAZARDOUS MEDICAL WASTE

• Used needles and plastic tubes are properly disposed of after one use.

• Only licensed companies are allowed to pick up and dispose of hazardous medical waste. (needles, gauze, masks, gloves, all materials contaminated by body fluids)
