The Mothership has landed….again.

It was October 2000 when Skogen Sprang first appeared on the

cover of Powder magazine riding the original prototype of the now

legendary Mothership. The photo was shot in Alaska and the article

titled, “The Future”. The production model was released the following

year as the fattest ski in the industry at a 98mm waist. It rode years

ahead of its time with a blend of stability and agility that simply didn’t

exist on big mountain freeride skis of the day. The fact that it

continually crushed all expectations and the limits of big mountain ski
