STARTER PACKAGE

Prior to use, carefully read and followthese instructions.

LINKMAX DENTAL RESIN ADHESIVE LUTING CEMENT

LINKMAX is a dual cure composite resindesigned to bond various types of prostheses to tooth structure. It uses a self-etching primerto bond to tooth structure and separate primersto bond to prostheses, core build-ups and postsmade out of different materials. LINKMAX PastePak can be dispensed easily and accuratelyusing the Paste Pak Dispenser.

RECOMMENDED INDICATIONS1. Bonding composite (micro-filled resin (MFR) or hybrid)

inlays, onlays, bridges, veneers and crowns to tooth structure.

2. Bonding porcelain crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers to tooth structure.

3. Bonding precious or non-precious metal inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges to tooth structure.

CONTRAINDICATIONS1. Pulp capping.

2. In rare cases the product may cause sensitivity to some persons. If such reactions are experienced, discontinue the use of the product and refer to a physician.

STORAGEThe starter package can be used as an organizer and stored completely in refrigerator.

1. LINKMAX Cartridge, Self-Etching Primer and Ceramic Primer should be stored in refrigerator 2-8oC (35.6-46.4oF).

2. Composite Primer and METALPRIMER II should be stored in a cool place 4-25oC (39.2-77oF).

3. Remove cartridge from refrigerator 30 minutes before use.

PASTE PAK DISPENSER HOW TO USE

Position of Long FingerGrip for small restoration.

Position of Long Finger Gripfor multiple restorations.

To bleed before first use:Squeeze out a bit of material sothat paste comes out of bothsides. Then drag tip across padto clean cartridge tips.

Orientation1. After cartridge loading, slide the lever release forward

until it stops. Remove the cartridge cover to dispense.

2. Before dispensing the first material from a new cartridge or when dispensing after a long interval, bleed the pastes in order to prevent the incorporation of air bubbles in the material.

3. While depressing the lever, level and cut off the extruded material by moving the cartridge and dispenser to an upright position on the mixing pad. When the lever is released after dispensing, residual pastes at the tips are retracted into the cartridge.

4. The finger grip can be moved forward or backward to change the volume of material to be dispensed.

- Position finger grip short for a small restoration.- Position finger grip long for multiple restorations.- When dispensing a very small amount of material,

remove the finger grip and dispense.

5. After dispensing, immediately replace the cartridge cover. For more details, refer to instructions packaged with dispenser.

BONDING MICRO-FILLED HYBRID RESIN

1. Treat prosthesis with composite primer.A. Remove any contamination from the bonding surface

of the prosthesis using a mild sandblast (aluminum oxide). Remove any remaining particles with air syringe.

B. Dispense one or two drops of COMPOSITE PRIMER (available separately) into the dispensing dish. Immediately apply a thin layer to the bonding surface of the prosthesis using a disposable micro-tip applicator andspread out with an air syringe.

Note: For resin which contains glasses, apply CERAMIC PRIMER to the bonding surface. For composite, apply COMPOSITE PRIMER.

C. Light-cure for 20 seconds with a visible light curing unit (470nm wavelength). Adjust exposure time as required for plasma arc and LED curing lights.

Note: After light-curing, leave the primer coated surface intact.

2. Treatment of the cavity with SELF-ETCHING PRIMER - EP-A and EP-B.A. Clean the cavity and gently dry with an air syringe.

B. Shake the bottles of SELF-ETCHING PRIMER EP-A and EP-B liquids thoroughly. Dispense one drop of each into the dispensing dish and mix for 5 seconds using a micro-tip applicator.

Note: Prior to use, remove the primer bottles from the refrigerator and leave stand for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.

C. Using the micro-tip applicator, apply the mixture to the cavity surface. Be sure to leave for 30 seconds, and blow gently with air. Blot away any excess primer from the cavity or edges using a paper point, etc.

Note: If the primer should get onto the oral tissue, immediately remove with a cotton pellet and rinse with water after cementing.

Shake well before use.

Light-cure for 20 secondsusing a VLC Curing Light.

Leave for 30 seconds.

Mix for 5 seconds.

3. Cementation of the prosthesis with LINKMAX.A. Dispense the needed amount of LINKMAX pastes onto

the mixing pad. Using the plastic spatula, mix thoroughly for 10 seconds until a uniform color is obtained. Apply the mixed cement only to the prepared surfaces of the prosthesis and not to the prepared cavity.

B. Gently seat the prosthesis into position and hold for ONE minute. Light-cure excess cement temporarily for 1-2 seconds. Using a suitable instrument, remove excess cement promptly. (Do not dislodge the prosthesis.)

Note: The working time of the cement is 30 seconds afterit comes in contact with the tooth surface primed with SELF-ETCHING PRIMER. The working time of cement left intact is 5 minutes (at room temperature, in absence of light conditions before seating the prosthesis in position).

C. While holding the prosthesis in position, re-apply the lightto the cement lines of all surfaces for 20 seconds respectively. Polish and adjust occlusion using standard finishing procedure.

Note: After treatment, instruct the patient not to take foodand drink for 1 hour.

BONDING PORCELAIN

1. Treat prosthesis with standard etchant and Ceramic Primer.A. Using an ultrasonic cleaner or other device, clean

prosthesis and dry with air syringe.

B. Apply preferred etchant (not included) to the bonding surface with a micro-tip applicator. After 30 seconds, rinse with water and dry thoroughly.

C. Dispense one drop of CERAMIC PRIMER Liquid A and Liquid B into the dispensing dish. Mix for 5 seconds with micro-tip applicator. Apply a thin layer to the etched bonding surface and dry with air syringe.

Note: Prior to use, remove the primer bottles from refrigerator and leave stand for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.

BONDING METAL PROSTHESIS TO TOOTH STRUCTURE

1. Treat prosthesis with METALPRIMER II.A. Treat the internal surface of the prosthesis (or bonding

surface of the post / core build-up) using a mild sandblast (aluminum oxide). Remove remaining particles with an air syringe.

B. Dispense the required amount of METALPRIMER II (available separately) into the dispensing dish. Immediatelyapply a thin layer to the bonding surfaces of the prosthesis or post / core build-up with a disposable micro-tip applicator. Allow to dry.

2. Treatment of the cavity with SELF-ETCHING PRIMER - EP-A and EP-B.A. Clean the cavity and gently dry with an air syringe.

CAUTIONS1. In case of contact of the cement mixture or primers with oral tissues, immediately remove with cotton pellet or a sponge. Flush

immediately with water after cementing. In case of Self-Etching Primer contact with oral tissues, the affected part may turn white. If this should occur, instruct the patient to leave undisturbed until the mark disappears in 2-3 days.

2. In case of contact with skin, remove immediately with a cotton pellet or a sponge. Rinse with soap and water.

3. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and seek medical attention.

4. Take special care not to swallow primers.

5. The primers are flammable and volatile. Do not use near naked flame. Keep away from sources of ignition. Keep away from direct sunlight. Use in a well ventilated place. Replace caps immediately after use.

6. Linkmax material will polymerize under ambient lighting conditions. Therefore after dispensing, use as quickly as possible. Replace cap immediately after use.

7. When using a light-curing unit, wear eye protection glasses. Do not look directly into light.
