Digital printing, for example, can be used to produce

finished products such as brochures and magazines

fully automatically on demand, to output prints in the

right order, including runs of a single copy, and to

personalize print jobs preprinted in offset. On-demand

logistics costs. Perforating, folding, and trimming are

also possible thanks to the option of integrating inline

Setting new standards in its class

With its outstanding quality and exceptional functions,

the new Linoprint CV takes efficiency, reliability, and

profitability to a whole new level. This flexible all-roun-

der is the only press in its class to go one better than

four-color printing and offer white as an additional

high-opacity color or, alternatively, a full-area or

spot coating with outstanding gloss characteristics.

It is quick and easy to switch between the white

and coating alternatives, which ensures flexible use

of these two surface finishing options.

Optimum quality dot by dot. Thanks to its innovative

laser technology, the Linoprint CV delivers razor-sharp

high-resolution images. One particular plus point is

the color toner used, which achieves a sharp, uniform

result thanks to ultra-fine particles. Other impressive

features include a large color scale and a low melting

point. This makes it possible to print on all kinds of

materials, such as heat-sensitive plastics, with

an image and color quality close to that achieved

in offset.

The Linoprint CV also demonstrates its credentials

with other challenging materials. It can be equipped

with a smoothing function that ensures flat delivery,

for example in the case of paper with a high moisture

content. An optional suction feeder is available to

reliably feed in problematic materials such as syn-

thetic foils.

Large format and short runs. The Linoprint CV is

designed for large paper formats. This enables items

such as posters and six-page print products to be

produced in short runs – in a single operation and,

thanks to the Prinect digital front end, without

complicated impositioning.

Several paper magazines for short makeready

times. The Linoprint CV also supports the non-stop

production of long runs in a single pass. Several high-

capacity magazines ensure a continuous supply of

paper without an operator having to constantly

monitor the press. These magazines can be logically

linked for automatic print processes or be filled for

the next print job while the previous job is still under

way so as to minimize makeready times.

Pinpoint precision. Precise registration is essential

when printing small items such as business cards

or postcards. The Linoprint CV operates with exceptio-

nal register accuracy for every single sheet, which

means print images are positioned exactly on top of

each other in the pile for reliable finishing.

Extremely user-friendly operation. The Linoprint CV

impresses with its big new operator cockpit. The

central monitor provides a continuous overview of

all information – from the print status of each job

to fill levels and all the necessary color data. This

makes it possible to keep an eye on the progress

The digital printing system has a two-module structure

to ensure maximum efficiency and high availability.

The fixing and imaging units are physically separate.

This provides plenty of space for working, which

reduces downtimes during makeready and is also bene-

ficial when working on the press. What’s more, any

paper blockage that occurs can be quickly located

and reliably rectified. A second, easy-change cart-

ridge for each color is integrated to ensure fast toner

changes – an additional plus for continuous production.

Color matching boosts quality automatically.

The Linoprint CP digital printing system has a feed-

back control system that automatically corrects key

parameters such as contrast, color shading, and

CMYK ink coverage. If print products are to be pro-

duced using both offset and digital printing, this means

color matching of the two methods is also possible.

Prepress and postpress. The Prinect digital front end

is based on sequences that can be automated.

All steps – including job creation, preflight checking,

color management, and impositioning – can be

performed manually or saved as linked sequences

for repeat jobs. This makes it possible to reliably

reproduce any print job in just a few simple steps.

In addition to this, the Prinect digital front end

supports prepress with a special softproof workflow

that removes the need for time-consuming test prints.

It also supports the finishing options of the Linoprint

digital printing systems, which means that many

digital print products can be produced ready for sale

in a single operation. These individual steps can

also be saved and subsequently re-used for fast,

automated production of standard products.

Transparent production. Effective administration of

job lists on the press is the basis for any optimized

production. Jobs can be combined and grouped, for

example according to the particular printing medium.

What’s more, with the Prinect digital front end and

the new Heidelberg renderer technology, digital and

offset print products are produced using the same

process. This seamlessly optimizes consistency of

color and form between the two production methods

without any additional outlay.

Personalized printing. The Prinect digital front end

facilitates the production of personalized data in

PDF/VT format. This enables all prepress processes

to be used without any in-depth knowledge of

personalized printing.

Central digital printing cockpit with optimized

user interface. Linoprint digital printing systems are

operated via a central cockpit that displays the pro-

gress of all jobs along with all production parameters
