Installing Universal Agents on LinuxFollow these steps on each Linux host to install a Universal agent.

Procedure

Step 1 Follow the download agent bundle steps, choosing the appropriate bundle for Universal agents:a) Choose Agent Config from the Settings menu to display the Agent Config page.b) Click Software Agent Download to switch to that tab.c) Select Show Classic Agent Packages.d) Find the appropriate version/platform/architecture/agent type and click the Download button.e) Copy the zip package to all the Linux hosts for deployment, and follow the next steps with root privileges.

Step 2 Unzip the tet-sensor-lw-version-lw-arch.zip file.Step 3 Follow the instructions in the README text file.

Alternatively, you can run the script install.sh with Administrator privileges to finish the installation.

Verifying Universal Agent Installation: LinuxFollow these steps on each Linux host to verify the Universal agent was installed.

Procedure

Step 1 Verify that the base folder /usr/local/tet-light exists (using ls).

Step 2 Verify that the scheduled cron jobs “Tetration Lightweight Sensor Job: Send flow” and “Tetration LightweightSensor Job: Send machine info” exist and are active (using crontab -l).

Uninstalling A Universal Agent: LinuxFollow this step to uninstall a Universal agent from a Linux host.

Procedure

Run the uninstall script /usr/local/tet-light/uninstall.sh
